Visited here for a birthday dinner on 10/15. There were 11 people in our party. Our server was Damien. Guests who shared items had to ask for additional plates. One guest ordered hot tea, but never received it. The same guest asked for a side of horseradish for her prime rib sandwich. Every guest at the table finished their meal before the server returned with it. He apologized and made the comment, “It’s been a long day.” Our waters were not replenished in a timely manner. The birthday guest ordered a ribeye. I ordered an 8oz filet. We both requested medium-rare temperatures. Our steaks were delivered without asking us to confirm they were cooked correctly. Both steaks were undercooked, (and I am well-aware of what “medium-rare” means) but we both ate them because the server did not return to check on our table. He didn’t return until our meal was finished. The birthday guest still enjoyed his ribeye. My filet had a barely warm center. Since it was already room temperature and no one came to check on us, I went ahead and ate with the rest of the party. He didn’t offer dessert, even though we told him when we were ordering that we were celebrating a birthday. We had to ask if there was a dessert menu. He said there wasn’t a menu and asked if he could set the plates down so he could use his fingers to count while telling us which desserts were available. One of the guests spilled a water while the table was being cleared. The server said he would be right back with a towel, but never brought anything to help clean it up, so we all put our napkins in a pile to soak it up. Each time the server approached the table, he asked if there was anything he could take out of our way. We had already stacked the dishes and utensils after our appetizers and our dinners, but still had to ask, “Will you please take these plates?” We ordered three desserts. The carrot cake was “OK” from what I heard. The birthday guest ordered cheesecake. I ordered the brownie dessert. He explained it was a turtle brownie and asked if that would be ok. I said, “That sounds great!” He brought out the carrot cake and the cheesecake, then returned with chilled forks for our brownie. He returned to ask about splitting our checks. I asked if we could get the brownie dessert. He again explained that it was a turtle brownie and asked if that would be OK. I said, yes, we’re still OK with the turtle brownie we already ordered. He returned with our split checks for us to confirm they were correct, then he returned with the brownie dessert. Needless to say, if the tip had not been included, I would not have left him $20 for...
Read moreMy husband and I went here for the first time ever and whereas we had a wonderful waiter, I don’t think we’d ever go again. Our waiter, Dalton, was excellent and I would give him a five (5), we couldn’t of asked for a better waiter. The atmosphere was really nice and we give that between a four and a five, we found that very enjoyable. However, the food was very average and I think my husband liked it better than I did. We got an appetizer which was called Thai Shrimp, I believe. He liked it better than I did and would give it a four, I would give it a low three at the best. In their defense, my husband often goes the extra mile when he is cooking or plating his food and all the flavors just did not seem to really complement each other to me. However, he enjoyed it and would give it a four. He liked the appetizer. He had Flat iron steak with their jalapeño cheese🌶 🧀 mashed potatoes . He said that it was a good flavor, but the meat was tough. He said his jalapeño cheddar potatoes 🥔were OK and he thought that they were a three at best. I ordered and dinner salad which was an extra $4.95 because I couldn’t get it as a side. From my understanding, it would’ve been $5.95 had I used it as my side instead of my broccoli. I’m not sure that makes sense, but I was somewhat disappointed when I got it. I love fresh salads 🥗 with vegetables on them and I think I got bagged lettuce with boiled eggs on them and a little bit of tomatoes. However, it did have croutons and I enjoyed those and I liked their honey mustard dressing. I also got the pecan crusted Trout and I would give that a three. I am thankful they put the lemon butter 🍋 🧈 sauce on the side because I really did not like the flavor of that at all and I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed it very much if they had put it on there. I will say that it was a filling dish and I had to give my husband at least half of it because I could not eat it all. I was also very disappointed in their steamed broccoli 🥦 . There really wasn’t any flavor to it and it just tasted like bland broccoli which had nothing done to it.
In retrospect, we had an excellent waiter who did an outstanding job. We felt the atmosphere was very nice and we enjoyed that, however, as a whole, we were fairly disappointed with the food. Maybe another night it would be better, I don’t know, but I don’t think will choose that...
Read moreOverall - the experience was just bad. If it could go wrong for me it did. I’ll take ownership on my faults in the review.
Start at the beginning - my party and I were walking to patio to get a table and a person carrying dirty plates drops a ramekin of ketchup. Ketchup splatters all over the floor and over my shoe. I quickly wipe it off for a couple-worker to point out it got on my shirt as well. Immediately I go to the restroom and clean it as best I can. (Armani shirt my wife and I picked up with some wonderful memories attached to it. $400-500 is the retail price of it but memories are priceless).
We sit down on the patio and order, first there’s a fly in my drink. We are on the patio, no problem and server remade it quickly. And we order. I ordered the ribeye mid-rare and got a house salad with it. It was my fault - I didn’t ask what was on the house salad; however, I also wasn’t expecting egg as normally house salads don’t come with egg. Eggs are 1 item I just do not like. I should have asked - but again the server gets it redone. As finishing up the salad - the ribeye comes out. I take a moment to cut into it because I was finishing my salad and when I do - medium well at best. Most of it was well done. They remake it. Well the second time when I start into it it’s nice and rare but the other half of the steak is mid-well. Uneven cook. At this point I’m the only person left eating, already sent back a drink, my salad, and my entree.
I speak to the manager who was extremely apologetic. He asked if I wanted GM to call me as he couldn’t authorize paying for the shirt. My intention was never to have them pay for the shirt just to let them know what their guest experienced. He offered to comp part of the check, etc. but this is a work event and company paid anyway so that really doesn’t help as well.
Moral of the story - guest experience is the critical and this one started bad and ended worse. Good news - my co-workers food and drink was great. It was just a terrible experience for me. I fly home tomorrow - maybe the dry cleaner can save the shirt, but I’m...
