Awful experience! We’re locals, and have regularly driven by this place, which often smells amazing because the smokers are going, but our dine-in experience here left a lot to be desired. The staff barely acknowledged us when we walked in. A grungy looking kid threw some sticky menus on the table, all three of which had literal chunks of old food on them. When our order arrived, the kid took the BBQ sauces straight off another guests table to give to us, while those guests were still present, but also, people lick their fingers when they eat BBQ, shouldn’t these bottles be wiped down? Ew! We ate our food as I watched our waiter kid carry trash across the street to the dumpster while playing on his phone, I really hope he washes his hands at least. When we were done, we waited a long time for the check. A girl did come to the table to pick up our BBQ sauces, but no follow up was offered to our meal, no water refill, or offer for desert. There was only one other table seated at that time, so I’m not sure where the staff was. Certainly not busy cleaning the joint! I finally went up to the bar counter to ask for our check. The kid said “yeah”, and nothing else. My tab was tossed into the bar, nearly on top of a wet dingy bar rag that looked fit only to clean the floor with, not the counter. Again, ew! I signed my bill as the kid turned his back to me and we left without even a thank you from anyone. I asked a co-worker what they thought of that place, and their only comment was “a lot can be hidden with BBQ sauce”. Well, you can’t hide a filthy dinning room and a lazy staff with good sauce! We won’t be back. Jerome is cute and quaint, but get your BBQ fix down at Colt...

Best Brisket in AZ, and in a league of its own. Nothing even close that I have been to. Prove me wrong! Lil Miss BBQ is great, but not even close to the brisket here. The Jalapeno Molasses is unbelievable. On one hand I like to see the 1 and 2 stars, cause it might keep my secret a secret, but on the other hand, it's quite annoying that the absolute best BBQ I have ever had is just not enough for some people. If you are complaining about slow times and it is a busy time of day, or a holiday, then get over yourself! I hear McDonald's is really fast! Try them! This is not a corporate store, so you should understand that you will get the typical "Mom and Pop" style of behavior of management. Basically they do the best they can with what they have. Small businesses don't have the buying power of large corporations, so stop whining that they don't look as clean cut as your chain restaurants. These owners put their hearts personally into these places, and you better believe they have errors and room for improvement. If you are going to complain that the bathroom was dirty, then I suggest that you don't dine at small businesses. Of course everyone wants things sanitized, but as advanced as you are, you would have never survived as a caveman. This place rocks. I have never talked to the owner personally so this is not a friend or family member trying to pump up the place. I just think the hard work at this place should be rewarded for the 1000 things they do right, and not penalized for the few things they don't. I WILL BE VERY UPSET IF YOU LOW STAR UPTIGHT PEOPLE RUN THIS BUSINESS OFF FROM YOUR...

This may just be one of my top 2 favorite places for BBQ in the state of Arizona. In fact, it's become my main place to eat when I visit Jerome (and I tend to like most eateries in Jerome).

FOOD: I usually get the sandwiches but I've mooched off of my friends' plates to try other things too. The BRISKET and CORN-BREAD are done to perfection. The SANDWICHES come loaded with enough meet and garnishes to leave you walking out with a happy belly, but tasty enough that they'll leave you craving more. This is gluttony at its best. I usually get Bobby's Big Boy sandwich which comes loaded with the best of all worlds: brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and provolone on a hoagie. What really makes it here (besides the great texture of the meat) are their house BBQ sauces: Garlic, Sweet and Spicy. They're all so good that I often find myself switching from one sauce to the other multiple times during my meal.

LOCATION / ATMOSPHERE: During high season it can get quite busy so prepare to wait (the food is worth it I promise). As far as atmosphere, I always sit outside to enjoy the amazing views. When you eat in Jerome, there's no such thing as bad location.

SERVICE: Service is very friendly, never had a problem.

PRICE: It's not a steal. You basically pay for what you get and that's it. So if prices seem on the higher side, the favors and quality are the reason why. If prices were any higher I'd probably have to remove a star. But so far...

OUR LATEST MAKE FRIENDS EVENT WAS SO MUCH FUN. We took over Jerome for the day with 12 people from #thejoyclub and explored all throughout the city. For our 1st Stop, we wanted to participate in the @azlottery AZAdventure Promotion where you just need to check in at any of the selected Arizona State Parks for a chance to win travel prizes and cash. We gave each person a $5 scratcher too so they could have double the chances of winning! It’s easy as heck to participate if you go to AZadventure.com. Our 2nd stop was Bobby D’s for some good ole’ BBQ. I loved that they give each table a bunch of house made sauces to choose from. We highly recommend the brisket + the pulled pork. YUM! Our 3rd stop was to do a Ghost Town Tour at the top of the hill. We did the ‘Original Jerome Ghost Tour’ and hopped in a van with our guide Nikki who took us to all the traditionally haunted places in Jerome like the Jerome Grand Hotel + the old mine. Using spirit boxes and EMS detectors, we were able to ‘talk with the ghosts’ aka train noises and short weird sounds would come out. The craziest part was the ghosts would turn on and off the lights at the Old Mine upon request. Highly recommend this tour! It was so fun to watch 12 strangers become friends throughout the day as we explored, ate together, and looked for ghosts. Stay tuned for our next event and thank you so much to the @azlottery , @azstateparks and Jerome Ghost Town Tours for partnering with us to make this event happen! #AD #AZAdventure

I really enjoyed this place. We could smell the barbecue aroma while shopping and it drew us in. The place was busy, but everyone was hard at work and let us know they would get to us shortly. Our wait wasn't too long, but it was about 2pm by the time we came for lunch. Our waitress Bree was super nice and helpful. I asked for recommendations and we ordered 2 of her picks (Arizona Cheesesteak/Spicy B Burger). The beef brisket was juicy and tender. I would highly recommend this. The spicy burger was mildly hot, but you can ask for it too be extra spicy if you want it hotter (fyi). You get provided with an assorted container of sauces for your liking (all had unique and delicious flavors). The sauces definitely make the meals complete. My boys enjoyed the fries and I really liked the zucchini fries. They were both crispy and hot. The coleslaw was very bland in our opinion and I wouldn't order it again. The side salad was ordered with the cilantro lime dressing that is made in house and it was perfect. It came with cucumbers, tomatoes and croutons, which was a perfect side salad. They personally sale their sauces, so I bought some togo ($12 for 1/$30 for 3/$45 for 4 with 2 seasoning rubs). I would go again for sure. Thank you everyone working today. They also had inside and outside dining options.
