Read moreVery bad experience with an order with Bawarchi on a Party night. Absolute false promises and cheating customers. I've placed my order at 7.48 PM and is delivered after 4 hours when is food is cold after persistent follow ups of 34 Calls during the 4 hours, in which my calls were answered for 10 times.
They could have done two things differently if they had a a matured business owner and if they care to be courteous to customers (forget about good customer experience that's a far thing) When I called to confirm the order, they could have been realistic and told delivery would be late and picking up would be good option. They could have told me to cancel the order if my preference is to have it delivered.
By far after several calls, I had to take Driver's Number at 10.00 PM, by which time I was told the order is out for delivery on the vehicle while the restaurant is only 5 miles and it doesn't take more than 15 mins to deliver. After a while and persistent calls to the driver I got a link to track and which showed me that driver has been delivering other orders and have been traveling from the restaurant to other places, and at around 11.30 I had to tell the driver that I figured he might be delivering another order in same city and i would expect him to atleast deliver by then and it's already 4 hours. Driver delivers then in 5 mins. During one of my calls to the restaurant I could hear attendants giggling over while Same false promise again is being made of delivering in 15 more mins, and I could realize it's a common practice for them to fool customers.
Food is already cold by then, Paneer is worth using as a material for Tyres, pretty bad. Biryani is not cooked properly. Party is spoilt. Thank you Bawarchi, lesson learnt will pass on my feed back with word of mouth to every friend I know...
Read moreSharing my experience from ordering take out at Bawarchi Biryani corner in Jersey City - during quarantine. I ordered for appetizers Chicken 555, Karampodi Chicken and Babycorn manchurian and for main course two chicken biryanis (boneless and traditional) and vegetable biryani. Chicken 555: creamy sauce with jalapeños and cashews - very flavorful and the jalapeños make it a touch spicy. Highly recommended dish. Kaarampodi chicken: this a newer dish on the menu - they add chillipowder grounded with other spices to fried boneless chicken.. so good. Babycorn manchurian: I have had this dish at other restaurants, what makes it special here is they fry the green pepper and onion along with the babycorn before mixing it in their sauce. This adds a clear difference to its taste and makes it more enjoyable. Coming to the favorite part of dinner: BIRYANI. 3 different biryanis and I had requested for medium spicy on all them. Typical Hyderabad biryani - can see the colored layers and the smell of the herbs were distinct and unbelievable. The rice was cooked to point and the meat was tasty also.. The biryanis comes with egg and fried onion and in a small foil raw onions and lemon. They also come with salan and raitha.. special mention their salan adds excess flavor to the biryani (not every restaurant makes it this way). Their menu also includes South Indian Dosa varieties and also clay oven dishes. The staff are friendly and my order was ready in less than 30 minutes. They give a good portion on every order. Giving them a 5 star rating for all round service. Will be back to explore the rest of the menu. Thank...
