Biryani Darbar — Restaurant in Jersey City

Best restaurant food i had after 2 years of moving to USA and my 2 year old kid he got crazy with chk 65. I had great food and time there. Nice ambience. Great staff. Good interior. Fast & Excellent service. .... MUST TRY.

My order. Starter: chicked 65 Hyderabadi Chicken dum biryani

Starter: Chicken 65 : The Best i have had after a long long long time. Chkn Pieces were well cooked. Spieces and flavors were all grt. Its was just awesome. Dip/sauce: Mango dip served along with chicken 65 was the iceing on the top. 100/100. Just fab. Delight to taste.

Chicken hyderabadi dum Biryani : Authentic hyderabadi biryani I have been to hyderabad lot of time as my relatives are ther near charminar and whenever i go there i try hyderabadi biryani of famous restaurants in hyderabad and i use to miss it after comming to USA. After having biryani at “Biryani Darbar” i was very happy, as It was 90% the same authentic biryani i had in hyderabad.

After having the food i was very happy and delighted with the taste and conveyed th same to the staff. Owner asked the chef “Michale” to Vist our table. I conveyed the same feedback to him.

Chef came back with the 2 complimentary sweet dishes. Sabudana sweet- this was nice. Shira - This was good.

Guys - If you're a food fan. Definitely you will like this Restaurant.

Today(06/18/2019) we ordered Gongura Chicken from this place ( Biryani Darbar) located in Jersey city. I placed order through UberEats. We were given Stale food!. The gravy was stale , it was evident that it was kept in unhygienic state for couple of days or similar storage. we couldn't eat it. The chicken pieces were also not fresh. Actually I had the same experience after ordering Chicken Dum Biriyani through UberEats couple of days back. The reason why I ordered again is that I had ordered from this place before as well and we got very good chicken dum biriyani, i must say they were the best available in the Indian Street in Journal square. So I tried my luck again and miserably failed last 2 attempts. We went once for dine-in and the Staff was so amicable and food served was also so good and fresh. So to me, it feels like its more of luck to get fresh vs stale food from here, and may be chances of bad food is more when delivered over UberEats compared to Dine-in.

Update : 06/27: in response to reply. Appreciate your response . What I wrote about the food was not just my opinion but the combined feedback of who tried to consume it. I had a little that day and I am fully sure it was stale. Couldn’t eat it though I was hungry .This happened twice . It was not practical to get food exchanged at that time since it was already late evening and I live few miles away . And I didn’t know there was even an option to do so . Good you mentioned , Hope this would help someone else . I decided not to try...

VEGAN CERTIFIED!!!

I was out of town in New Jersey, looking for substance beyond pure raw eating and searching for veggie burgers.

I stumbled one day upon Biryani Darbar and began getting a regular vegetable fried rice that tops other spot's Veg. Biryani, and an order of aloo (potato) & gobi (cauliflower) paranthas that are like vegan spicy gluten & liven free giant sized empenadas, curry styled.

One day I called in a pickup and accidentally ordered the Aloo-Gobi Curry Dish....It's never been the same. It held me down through a day & half. So rich, so filling within a few bites and with legumes, peas, cabbage and so much vegetable protein it carried my intermittent fasts at work with comfort from the night before

Everything I've tried has been exquisite. Its nutritious, well priced, superbly portioned, and addictive. Staffed with great energy and right by the corner to get you in-&-out. Must Go Place in Jersey...
