Paratha Junction — Restaurant in Jersey City

I ordered food from this restaurant for the first time from uber eats. I saw an offer from the same restaurant on Grubhub so decided to cancel immediately (within 2 min). I was not careful to check and got charged $47 on a $55 order as cancellation charge. I called uber eats who told me that restaurant will decide whether they can still fulfill my order or not. I called up the restaurant and a lady picked up. I told her I just ordered from uber eats and she got flustered and handed to another guy. The guy asked me about my order and said he doesn’t see it. He asked me the same question about my name and order details at least 3 times, pretended to talk to someone and told me he doesn’t see my order and I should call back in 5 min. I call back 5 min later, he asked the same questions 2 more time. By this time, I knew he was lying. I offered to come pick up the order, at which point he handed the phone to someone else. That person immediately told me he sees my cancelled order and can’t do anything about it. He lied that the restaurant doesn’t keep the cancellation charges even though uber eats confirmed it. This is not a restaurant, they are thieves and don’t deserve...

I recently had an extremely frustrating experience at this Restaurant, which I feel compelled to share. The incident highlighted a severe lack of management skills and poor communication within the establishment, resulting in a significant waste of my time and an overall disappointing take-out experience.

I placed an order for pickup from uber eats, and the restaurant notified me that my order was ready for collection. Excitedly, I made my way to the restaurant, only to be met with a bewildering statement from the manager. After arrival, they informed me that my order would actually take an additional 20-25 minutes to prepare. This sudden change in the estimated waiting time left me feeling frustrated and annoyed.

The primary issue here lies in the poor management and miscommunication within Paratha Junction. It is essential for a well-run establishment to have an efficient system in place that accurately communicates the status of orders to customers. In this case, not only did the restaurant fail to provide an accurate estimate initially, but they also failed to update me promptly when they realized the delay.

I would give a negative rating cause of this...

I went to this restaurant with so many expectation on 6th August, 15 with my very close friend. I myself recommended it and asked my friend to go to this restaurant as I love different Parantha, any north Indian will love that, and by name it looks like they master in preparing the paranthas but my expectations were clearly turned down first by the ambience and then the waiters in the restaurant. Paranthas were pathetic as they were not evenly stuffed and I could feel only the thick floor that too half cooked. I called the waiter and he was busy looking at the computer and not the listening to the customer. I again called the guy and told him, showed him that the parantha's were half cooked with very little stuffing. I denied that I am not gong to eat them and replace them. He took them away with half heartedly and I am sure he must have been cursing me which I could make out from his body language. He brought the other paranthas and surprisingly they were the same with pathetic attitude. This place sucks and if you don't believe me then visit once and find out. Believe me I can prepare better paranthas than these...
