Bowl Burger Bistro — Restaurant in Jersey City

Incredible place! My friends and I had the pleasure of being able to attend Bowl Burger Bistro’s soft opening a bit back, and were completely blown away!

Before I mention anything else, I have to mention their blueberry French toast—I know mentioning a dessert before any other lunch item is a little random, but I’ve been craving a sweet treat and it’s all I keep thinking about. I was told about how high quality their milk bread is, and it truly is such an incredible dessert to have.

Besides my craving for that French toast, I keep comparing every burger I’ve had since to their Chopped Cheese Burger—which, seriously. So good. The meat was incredible, flavorful and an awesome homage to a New York classic! I also had their Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was crunchy and delicious. I have to mention how good their burger buns are too—a good bun is a little hard to find, but these were airy and not that weird chewy texture that a lot of buns tend to have. Super good!

Their Chipotle Chicken Bowl was also delicious. Random, but this is a really good pick if you’re trying to hit your protein goals for the day (LOL). The sauce was god and the taco shells were a fun add-on! I’m also a big fan of red onions, and their salad definitely fueled my mild addiction. If I had to choose though, I would have chosen to have the burger before the bowl since the bowl’s pretty filling!

The staff was super attentive to our needs, and it was an amazing experience overall. Definitely come and visit! Their menu is unique and super refreshing to see. Their drinks, too! The mango jalapeño mocktail was an awesome opener and a different flavor than what I usually tend to see.

As a final little comment, Bowl Burger Bistro is worth your time because it’s something new—literally and metaphorically. The flavors and dishes are different that your typical halal burger joint (finally), and the space and decor of the restaurant are definitely the cherry on top. Life is short, eat...

If you’re lucky enough to find yourself in Jersey City, make sure you find your way to Bowl Burger Bistro on West Side Ave—a place where flavor, heart, and community come together like the perfect bite.

From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with warmth, not just from the cozy, modern space, but from Mo and Evelyn, the passionate husband-wife duo behind it all. These two aren’t just restaurant owners—they’re pillars of the community. Their dedication to uplifting the neighborhood is felt in every plate served and every conversation shared.

Now, let’s talk food.

The Masala Croquette? Game-changer. Crispy on the outside, soft and spice-kissed on the inside, served on a bed of curried ketchup and topped with pickled onions—this dish alone could hold its own in any Michelin-rated kitchen. It’s bold, it’s creative, and it’s addictive.

The Smash Burger is exactly what a burger should be—juicy, cheesy, perfectly seared and loaded with flavor. The Soy Glaze Veggie Bowl was equally impressive, with savory umami notes and a runny egg that ties it all together beautifully. And if you’re lucky enough to catch their lunch special? It’s a steal.

Everything is 100% Halal, the ingredients are fresh, and the attention to detail is unmatched. But what truly sets Bowl Burger Bistro apart is the soul behind it. Mo and Evelyn aren’t just cooking—they’re creating a space where everyone eats and everyone’s welcome.

Random weekday stroll on Westside turned into an unexpectedly delicious adventure with my cousins—and Bowl Burger Bistro was the plot twist we didn’t know we needed! 😍

We stopped by for an early dinner, ordered the Smash Burger $10, Surf & Turf $22, and Mocktails Spicy Mango fizz $9, and let me tell you—WHEW! That smash burger? A double-patty masterpiece. Juicy, flavorful, no-nonsense, just how a burger should be. Simple, bold, and absolutely satisfying with the melted cheese. And the prices? So decent, you’ll do a double take. 💸

We had the pleasure of meeting Mo, the super chill and friendly owner (love a hands-on boss moment), and our server Ashley was an absolute sweetheart—attentive, fun, and knew the menu like a pro!
