I had noticed this place was opening soon in the area, and finally had found out they opened up. So I decided to stop in and grab lunch.
The place was very clean and it was noticeably empty, one person had just left as I got inside. To your left upon entering is a table for two people marked for handicap. Over to the right side of the restaurant was some more seating.
Staff was very friendly and polite, food was out in less than five minutes for sure, so very fast service.
Onto the the good stuff, aka the food.I ordered a 4 piece combo that came with a biscuit, leg, thigh, breast & wing and a medium drink for $8.99.
The chicken was absolutely the best part of the meal and rightfully so. It was crispy, fresh and juicy..Now it did have a bit of a tiny bit of a yellow tint to it but still nonetheless it was good.
Sadly I can’t say the same for the biscuit, it was soft but not too dry my only complaint was that it didn’t have the slightest bit of butter on it. Now the french fries were shoe string sized & there was plenty of them but they tasted very plain, there was extremely little if not any seasoning to them. But after all this is a chicken restaurant.
Would I come again? Most definitely. Would I recommend it to a friend or...
Read moreThis is for my uber driver. When he picked me up, I raved about how I was craving Louisiana Fried Chicken. My FAVORITE fried chicken in all of NJ. Well, we pull up to the place and it is now called “Kick n Wings” and has a new owner. I almost Cried. Louisiana Fried Chicken wings were so good. I was very disappointed. I decided to order anyway.
Well, usually I order a 5piece wing for about $11, which included a roll. Now you can get 4 piece wing for $11 and no roll. :(
I get home and the wings were a no for me. They are definitely NOT Louisiana Fried Chicken-freshly cooked, flavorful, golden crispy texture.
These new wings were reheated from a pan of wings (I saw the guy get them from a pan that was not even on a hot pot). THEN they were NOT flavorful at all. No seasoning? And for some reason the wings had blood in the middle? (Maybe this is normal but I have not encountered this before).
I was obsessed with Louisiana Fried Chicken. I hope they open again somewhere else in Jersey City.
I will not be back here. The uber driver suggested Fluffies in Bayonne....
Read moreI always drive by this restaurant and it is always busy. I stopped by today for 4 pieces of chicken (wing, leg, thigh and breast). This place did not disappoint me. My chicken was well seasoned. If you are in the area be prepared to look for a parking unless you have someone with you. Curbside pickup would be nice since parking...
