They don't wash their hands here.
When visiting the restaurant the front of house team member (who is African-American woman approximately 5'2 with clear glasses) was cleaning with a broom in her hands. When she saw me she turned and put on gloves without washing her hands. I proceeded to say "Hi, aren't you going to wash your hands?" She proceeded to glare at me, run her hands under the sink for 3 seconds without applying any soap, dry her hands and put on a second pair of gloves.
She then started my burrito and rushed the entire process while throwing the portions on the tortilla and not folding the burrito properly. After placing the order at the end of the line for the cashier she rolled her eyes at me and went to serve someone else. I then asked the cashier to speak to the manager. I then waited about 10 minutes for a Caucasian gentleman with black hair to come over. I told him what happened and he seemed completely indifferent. When I was done speaking he just said "is that it?" And didn't apologize or seem concerned by the lack of food safety handling that was happening with his staff.
At this point I was shocked by the lack of care and just wanted to pay for my food and leave. I asked the cashier to charge me for the burrito, and the manager said it was fine and that I did not have to pay for it. I double confirmed that that was okay because my aim was not to get free food, but to call attention to the lack of food safety and retaliation against me for calling it out that was happening.
I'm sharing this matter with you because I believe that the staff needs refresher training on food safety and the importance of correctly washing your hands after handling cleaning supplies. Read moreI've been a customer of Chipotle's for a long time and in the past, the experience has generally been acceptable. Not this time. I've had a series of horrible ordering experience from this particular location in the past 30 days. The first one was on Sep 26, 2020, where my mobile order was picked up by "a delivery guy" and instead of offering me an apology & remaking my order on the spot, I was told to reorder and deal with the refund later at "Chipotlefeedback". I was yelled at as I waited (after I reordered) and inquired about the status of my order. The lady yelled at me to not "yell at her," even though I didn't yell at her at all. Fortunately I was issued a refund & a few free meals from customer service. The second incident happened within a week or two when I ordered again, and despite the fact that I did not order cheese (because of allergies), my meal came with a small amount of cheese mixed in it. Clearly they did not do a very good job at avoiding cross contamination. Had I not painstakingly removed the little cheese shreds before eating, my allergy reaction would have been far worse that it was. Chipotle followed up but did not offer apology or any restitution. The third time was today, Oct 14, 2020. I ordered from the restaurant (still using the free meal from the first incident, funny enough) and after I got home with my bag, I found that although the bag said my name, the meal belonged to another person and the meal was completely wrong, as you can see from the picture below. I am shocked and disappointed by how terrible the management at this location was, and how irresponsible this company has been. Read moreWorse Chipotle in town 👎 first time I ever ordered from here was for delivery. I was given the wrong order and I told the delivery man that it was not mine, wasn’t even my name. Literally he told me to call the restaurant and left. I called so many times and no one picked up. Mind you I ordered FOR DELIVERY, and I ended up having to go to the restaurant to get my order. I made a report online and got a refund. But the fact that I ordered FOR DELIVERY was because I wanted my food to come to me. Now today I made an order and once again they messed it up. I ordered it at around 6:45pm and it said it was going to get there at 7:38pm, when I checked the app because it was late, I called the delivery customer service and was refunded the delivery fee and then I was told that it was going to get there at 8:15 pm.. once again I waited and it was late, checked the app and my order was cancelled, right after I called the first time. The lady didn’t tell me that. I called and I got a refund for the order. Had to order again and pick it up. This has to do with the delivery company but it should not be so complicated. I ordered and paid for delivery for a reason, not to get a refund, but to get my food. This restaurant and delivery staff are not good AT ALL.
