I initially ordered a large cup of oat milk latte(24oz), the menu on showed the price small sized coffee(12 oz). The cashier failed to informed me any detail on the drink, before I made payment. Especially the larger cup costed twice the amount, and an extra $1.50 for the option oat milk. If I was informed earlier I would have changed my mind. Although it makes sense that a cup double the size should be charged double, I felt like it is a common practice for a restaurant to inform customers what they are paying for before confirming the payment. I had to pay more than $10 for a cup of coffee, and quite frankly it didn’t taste like one that’s worth more than $10. I had better coffee with more volume that costed less. Please at least fix the menu, and the service.

This is a great coffee spot that I happened to find while I was in the area one morning. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is great! I bought a matcha latte and a toasted everything croissant with cream cheese - both were delicious. This cafe seems like a great place to relax or do some work/study. I love that they offer conference booths you can rent for meetings or extra privacy, etc. There's also a free library section ("Take a book, leave a book"), and a printer available for use, too!

Big fan of Clo from their original Edison location and it’s nice to see this one too! Not only do I really like their signature Clo latte as a drink (because I’m a fan of lightly sweet drinks), but their warm staff all embody the idea that they have printed on their cups: being kind! It’s also nice that they have small conference room pods available for rent where you can hold calls or meetings, this is an interesting idea in a time where many folks work remote. Looking forward to my next visit here!

I lived in this neighborhood until about two years ago, and was here when Clo opened. I stopped going because the service was slow and a large cold brew was about $7. While visiting, I figured I'd stop in again since I was staying around the corner.

Today, I ordered a large cold brew and was surprised to hear it was just over $4. So I asked again to confirm the price, and the barista said it was correct.

I waited 10 minutes for my coffee and four people came in, were served, and left during that time. This includes one woman who ordered a large ice coffee.

When my drink was ready, they handed me a small cold brew. I told them I ordered a large, the barista checked in the back, and came out to say they had no more large cups.

I should have trusted my gut and went...

Consistently, invariably dank. I visit on the regs for my flat white and have yet to witness any slipshod assembly. They take their craft seriously and—if pressed or queried—are extremely knowledgeable about the products and methods of production. For the quality and location prices are not inordinately peak, comparable to other artisanal coffee locales, of which Journal Square is sufficiently lacking. The overall aesthetic has a kind of sleek and modern vibe. Lastly, I've probably met every employee at the 97 Newkirk location and they're all good peeps, very friendly and welcoming. Show 'em some love,...
