Bad service. For the first time my son and I went to this place about 2 months ago, the waiter didn’t even inform us about their buffet until after the fact that we already ordered from the menu.Horrible fried fish., we end up taking our orders home for the meantime, my son had to pay for the buffet since he was not satisfied with the food that we ordered. I end up throwing the food away that I took home such a waist of my hard earned money. Yesterday, I wanted to celebrate my daughter’s graduation . I called there first and was informed that they have the buffet until 4 pm. I figured I give this place another chance since my son liked the buffet from 2 months ago. We arrived there and got seated , while we were waiting for my daughter, the five of us proceeded to the buffet and find out that they hardly had any food left ( food was old and dried up)The rice with muscles was mooshy, and since it was only 2:30, we figured that they would replenish the food but the workers there said they are not . Since we were seated already and we already served ourselves, I was embarrassed to walk out. You would think that management is more concern about their customers satisfaction but more interested in peoples money. I also believed that they only catered to their own kind of people.We could have went to the Hibachi restaurant since they charge the same $14.95 per person and we would have more selections of food. I called my daughter and told her not come anymore and go ahead to the others restaurant as we originally planned. Read moreA friend of mine recommended me this Rest. Last night I went with my husband. I was very dissappointed. Staff were really friendly with a group of customers. They knew them by name, I'm guessing they were regular customers. Waiter took my order, I waited 30 minutes. Everyone that came after me were eating except me and another couple. No one came to the table. I asked one of the girls behind the Bar to please go check. She said "the other employee put it but I don't know why is taking so long" Rest was not busy and my husband and I waited 45 minutes. Food was was good. Bread was sweet with sugar on it but the people they knew where eating french bread. I asked for more napkins but no one came back with napkins or to check if everything was ok. When we were done I asked one of the waiter for a glass of sambuca. He went behind the Bar and served wine to two ladies that ordered after me and served a couple sitting at the bar. He totally forgot me. Then he started joking with another employee and the two ladies. It was the girl at the Bar that told him that he forgot to serve the sambuca. At this point, we were already upset. I called him three times to get the check and he was very happy chatting with all the customers he knew. Read moreI was hoping to get some good Portuguese food here but I was a little disappointed by the overall experience.
I ordered a medium rare Portuguese-style sirloin. The meat was too tough. The gravy reminded me of a dish I got from Portugal but it was way too salty for me. The dish had some flavor but it wasn't good enough for me to go back. The bread they gave you before the meal was strangely sour. I got sick mildly the next morning.
The restaurant was pretty empty when I visited for dinner. I think this place used to have a bar license or wait for a license. There is a large bar section without any liquor. The overall atmosphere was awkward.
The server tried to be present and good but because there are not many customers, they often do something else than pay attention to the hall. 15% of the service charge is automatically added to your bill but the bill still recommends a 15 to 20% tip on top of the already added tip. The server never notified me the tip was added. I'm wondering if they want customers double-tip them without knowing.
