This was my go-to Chinese food restaurant for years when I lived in the area. I recently passed and decided to try out their lunch to see if it still held the crown. The first thing you notice here is that this restaurant is combined with a bar. You go to the back to order and you can hang out and grab a drink at the bar while you wait or eat. The service is always good, and the lady taking orders is generally polite. The lunch menu was reasonably priced at $8.50 for an entree with pork fried rice. I ordered General Tso's and Lo mein. Everything tasted good, but the lo mein wasn't very flavorful and the rice was a bit hard. The serving sizes were good enough to satiate one. Like other Chinese restaurants in Jersey City, normal prices for other items on the menu were pretty high. For example, $8 for 4 chicken wings is crazy. The serving sizes have become smaller over the years - shrinkflation is definitely in play here. Overall, this is a solid Chinese restaurant for lunch and still tastes better than others in Jersey City that give even smaller servings. So, if I'm going to spend money on Chinese Food, this remains one of my top picks.

This place is delicious. This is what you are looking for when you want an old school chinese spot in the neighborhood. I've tried the subgum wonton soup which is labeled under "house special wonton soup", the regular wonton soup, and chicken wings and pork fried rice. Everything is seasoned well and tasted delicious. I love how they add the little pork strips to their wonton soup. Some chinese spots are cheap and dont do that anymore. The wontons taste delicious as well. The ladies working the counter are so sweet. They dont have the bone-in rib tips that i love, but thats ok. I'd gladly return.

Another bust! Jersey City cannot manage to make decent Chinese fast food. Being from nyc the food here simply doesn’t compare. I ordered orange chicken which was the same exact sauce on my boyfriend’s sesame chicken. His had sesame seeds and my chicken had dried orange peel which didn’t add any orange flavor to my chicken at all. It was the worst orange chicken I’ve had, it was not crispy the coating was mushy. My fried rice had zero veggies; onions, egg, Scallions, bean sprouts, carrots, when did they stop adding this to fried rice? Worst of it all it was flavorless.

If you are looking for at least a decent customer service experience, please avoid this place. Their food is good, but they lack basic customer service skills. I called today, 9/19/2025 to inquire about their lunch special as I am not familiar with their menu and I was walking while making the call. I have ordered from them before outside of lunch hours. I asked the lady who answered the phone if chicken wings were available in the lunch menu, she answered no, so I inquired what kind of meat they do have available in their lunch special; the lady proceeded to ask me what I wanted in a nasty way, but as I asked one more time about the options available in their lunch special, she got upset and hung up the phone on me. I called again just to make sure the call did not get disconnected. The same lady answered the phone and after telling her I was the same person who was just on the phone and asking if she hung up on me, as per her bervatim, she tells me that she doesn't have the time to do this, and said so in a very unkind and unprofessionad way. What a shame, as the few previous occassions I have ordered from them, I found their food to be decent. Please work on your customer...

I am a nurse supervisor in a nursing home, so I am constantly on the move. I ordered food and went to follow up on a patient. I didnt hear my phone ring. I am providing care to my residents because I wanted to sit down and eat when my food came without any interruptions. Unfortunately I didnt hear the announcement that the deliver man arrived. When I was able to look at my phone I saw the driver had called, I immediately called back and asked if he can deliver my food. The driver agreed. Then several minutes later I get a nasty phone call from a woman saying the driver called you many times and now we are longer going to deliver food to my place of work and she hung up the phone. There is no reason for the tone or the attitude especially if i am going to pay my hard earn money to you. Never have to worry about my getting any business of me nor my co-workers again. you lucky this thing wont let me put 0 stars. Learn to treat people with respect have a little more...
