The Blue Rooster is as authentic as an Irish pub gets, and after several visits, I can confidently say it never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, complete with two pool tables and darts, making it the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy a great night out.
One of the biggest highlights is their trio of Guinness, Harp, and Kilkenny on tap…a rare find, especially Kilkenny, which is nearly impossible to get fresh on draft. It’s smooth, creamy, and the perfect complement to a proper Irish pub experience. And I travel a lot to it’s saying something.
The Fish & Chips are simply outstanding—crispy, golden batter encasing tender, flaky fish, served with thick-cut fries and house-made tartar sauce. The wings were pretty awesome too. I had a couple flavors. Reminds me of how wings used to be.
Service is awesome too, thanks to Darlene and Madison, who are both amazing and incredibly attentive. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, they make you feel like a regular.

I love how they used the planks of whiskey barrels to decorate the bar and a wall. They even smell of whiskey! They have regulation darts, and I'm super excited to see if they will have some darts competitions there. There are two pool tables and plenty of space to sit and relax with friends and enjoy a Guinness and bubble and squeak (which they call Rooster mash). I've had nearly everything on the menu and it's all outstanding.
This is going to be my place when I'm just not in the mood to cook, but want to have a place that feels like home with a great attentive staff, and a place that takes me...
Read moreThe Blue Rooster is a start up pub, but have high hopes for its continued success. We had the fish ‘n chips and the chicken ‘n chips. Both were pretty good, nice presentation, fish served with malt vinegar (as it should be). Only issue was that the fries were not crispy. We were also excited to try the Kilkenny beer. They need to learn a proper pour for Kilkenny. It shouldn’t be poured like a regular beer. A proper pour can take several minutes to serve. Looking to go back and try the shepherds pie and see if they’ve had a chance to learn a...
