Ahi Poke - Hawaii Bowl & Tapioca Tea Houston — Restaurant in Texas

Food is ok not bad with fresh ingredients. Restaurant is clean - Where it gets bad as other reviewers have mentioned (if not hidden) is the bad customer service from one small girl. She is very sneaky about it! The managers were so busy prepping bowls while the girl in the photo below was eye rolling and glaring as each party in the group ordered. She makes sure to do it in a sneaky way. It's poor management to be so oblivious to this elementary behavior of this young girl. She rolled her eyes when I was ready to checkout and said so rudely, I'm not checking you out - she is (the nice Asian lady). and waljed away with her that weird glare thing she does. I saw her treat each customer the same way as we were eating. She gets away with because the Asian lady (owner/management) and her husband are too occupied to even see what she is doing to each customer. The only other assumption is that they actually do in fact know she is too immature to be working there and perhaps do not care enabeling her rotten behavior. She is very sad and obviously hating her poor life and it's sad she takes it to work with her. I wish her the best even though she is rude because she is not a happy young girl. She...

I really wanted to give more stars, I really did but I can't say I'll go back. I went with my daughter and we each got a large poke bowl. One of my proteins was unagi. Our server grabbed a DIRTY bowl and put unagi in to warm up. Confused (because who would knowingly do that, right) I asked her, "are you really going to give me that dirty bowl?" She chuckled and replaced it. After we got our food, both my daughter and I had different issues. My daughter found a black piece of hair in her food. I have blonde hair, my daughter has red. I looked over at the girls behind the counter as they were filling orders and as they were leaning over the food to get the backtire row, their hair was brushing over all the food. At that moment, I bit down on something hard which looked like pieces of wood. Lastly, the acoustics in the restaurant are terrible. There was a party of 4 on the other end of the restaurant and us being the only other people in the store. I couldn't even hear my daughter who was right in front of me.. and the other party wasn't even that loud.

Amazing restaurant! ‼️Most importantly, the bowls are delicious thanks to the great selection of ingredients available to customize your poke. The eel is 👌 perfection! The takoyaki is worth every penny and is a must try if you want to add on something tasty! The employees, they’re friendly, but they are very efficient and work fast, so there isn’t much time for small talk which is fine and not necessary. I occasionally go to other poke places, but they never have eel nor kimchi, which is a big deal for me, so I always miss this place. I wish nothing but endless prosperity for the owners and continue in business forever, please! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Update: Unfortunately I recently relocated a little further north, so this location is more out of my way. I had to find a similar poke spot in Tomball and have been eating at Poke Hut. The food is comparably great to Ahi, but the workers/owners are unwelcoming and give pathetic portion sizes compared to this place. Anytime I am able to, I will go out of my way to give this business my money because...
