Where Culinary Mastery Meets World-Class Service

Dining at SUMO Sushi is nothing short of an epic experience—a perfect harmony of exquisite cuisine and impeccable service that elevates it far above the ordinary.

From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed like family. And if you’re lucky enough to have Alina or Jenny Lin as your server, prepare for an experience that will redefine your expectations of hospitality. Alina’s warmth and professionalism are second to none. Jenny greets you with a genuine smile that instantly puts you at ease and takes the time to make thoughtful recommendations tailored to your tastes. Their deep knowledge of the menu and passion for Japanese cuisine shine through in every interaction, turning an ordinary meal into an unforgettable journey.

Alina’s attention to detail is impeccable. She anticipates your needs before you even have to ask—refilling drinks without missing a beat, checking in at just the right moments, and ensuring every dish arrives perfectly timed. Jenny’s enthusiasm is contagious, and it’s clear they take immense pride in making sure each guest has a flawless experience.

Speaking of the menu—it’s a masterpiece. Each dish is a celebration of freshness and artistry. The SUMO Supreme Roll is a revelation: creamy avocado, tender salmon, and a perfectly balanced touch of spice. The sashimi? Simply divine—slices of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail so fresh they seem to melt on your tongue. Every plate is presented with such elegance that it feels almost too beautiful to eat.

The appetizers set the stage brilliantly. The crispy, golden tempura is impossibly light, while the gyoza is bite-sized perfection. And don’t forget the comforting miso soup—it’s like a warm embrace in a bowl. Everything is crafted with precision, passion, and respect for tradition.

Yet, what truly makes SUMO Sushi stand out is its service. The entire staff operates like a finely tuned orchestra, balancing efficiency with warmth, but Alina is in a league of her own. Even when the restaurant is bustling, she makes you feel like you’re her top priority, handling everything with grace and charm.

The ambiance is the final flourish, blending modern elegance with traditional Japanese charm. Soft lighting, sleek décor, and the aroma of fresh seafood create an inviting atmosphere that enhances every bite.

SUMO Sushi isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a destination. It’s where culinary artistry meets hospitality excellence, creating an experience that lingers long after the meal is over. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself, SUMO Sushi—and Alina—deliver a feast fit for royalty.

Five stars? It deserves a standing ovation.

Thank you Alina, Jenny Lin and...

When first arriving, there was no host/hostess to greet and seat us. Instead, who I believe to be a server came up and seated us after about 5-10 minutes of waiting. She took our drink orders, and they came quite quickly, but she informed us that she wasn't our server and that our server would be with us shortly to take our orders. We didn't see our server for 20 minutes, and on her arrival, we ordered 3 appetizers. They came one at a time, 5 and 20 minutes apart, and we had to ask about the last appetizer after placing our meal order and asking about another drink. While placing our meal order, I let my boyfriend order what he wanted first as I was finishing my appetizer. When my boyfriend was finished speaking, our waitress turned to the table behind her to take their orders in the middle of us ordering. If we hadn't grabbed her attention before she walked off, we would've never been able to finish our order as we didn't see our waitress for the rest of the night. We waited about 30 minutes for our food to come out while watching their cooks bar fill up with food that hadn't been taken to their tables. The servers started putting food on the counter below where the chefs had placed them and started focusing on taking all the orders out. They never used trays until this point and were improperly holding the dishes without gloves. They also did not bring food for a table all at once. They would have dishes from different tables with them, so you never got everything all at once. They also had cat server robots that, while cute, were completely underutilized. This was when we got all of our food after waiting 30-45 minutes. This wasn't even a weekend or Friday, just a regular Thursday night. The wait staff is clearly unorganized and understaffed. In the bathrooms, every trashcan was full, and there was an odd smell. After being in the bathroom for a bit, I realized the smell was mold built up in the ventilation. The food was okay. It's not the best sushi I've had, but not the worst. I will never give this place...

Came here with some friends since we were in the mood for sushi. We ordered some sushi rolls from the a la carte menu and when they arrived, they were pretty small from the price. Either the roll itself was tiny (slightly bigger than a quarter), and even if the roll appeared “large”, it was cut in very skinny pieces and only had 5 pieces.

Everything on the a la carte menu was brought out in in aesthetically pleasing and extravagant style decorated dishes, but it felt like, for the price of the roll, we weren’t getting our money’s worth of food, and the high price seemed like it’s going towards the decor on the plate rather than a quality and filling meal.

After we realized how small the portions are, we asked our server if we could switch to the AYCE menu since that included everything and we saw the portions on that were bigger. They were happy to help us switch over. (Have a feeling portions are intentionally smaller for a la carte to incentivize customers to switch to AYCE menu… def worked on us, smart marketing move I guess😂).

AYCE menu was great. All the sushi was prepared really well and tasted fresh. Everything we tried was excellent. Miso soup did take over thirty minutes to come out tho, but generally, everything else was being prepared fairly quickly.

The atmosphere and service were great. Our server was very friendly, helped answer any questions related to menu, and created a welcoming environment. There was cultural art and decor throughout the establishment, with floral decorations adding a pop of color to the ceiling. The interior decor, paired with the slightly dim lighting, created a cozy yet lively ambiance.

Overall, great AYCE restaurant. Would not recommend the a la carte menu, the small portions are not worth the price. But would definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the mood for a good and diverse AYCE menu, delicious fresh sushi, and if you have a big...
