Weng's Express Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in Jersey Village

FOOD POISONING!!

We were in the process of moving to this area and were excited to have found an asian place close by with pretty good reviews but I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THAT PLACE! My fiance got the mongolian beef & chickenfried rice. I only ate the beef, my 3 older kids picked out the chicken and only ate the rice... and my fiance and 1.5year old son ate beef & the chicken. We had dinner late at about 8:30pm and at about 1 am that same night both my fiance and youngest son started showing symptoms of food poisoning. It was awful, I thought I would have to take him to the hospital at first... they were both out for about 24hours and it was just the worst timing too... we had reserved a Uhaul for that day to move a bunch of our funriture and bigger items and I had to cancel everything. On top of that our dog started to go into labor and I was stuck taking care of her, puppies, baby and my fiance. Spent $50 to end up with food poisoning and lost a whole day of moving... needless to say we wont be back, Pho is safer! Always fresh and...

Wow! What a surprise! The food was excellent!

This appears to be a small location inside a strip mall, but the food really was amazing, the waiting staff were incredible, and the portions were humongous!

We arrived and were promptly greeted, although a little slow to get our menu and drink order (no alcohol served as far as I'm aware). This was not an issue for our visit, as we were not in a hurry (and arrived close to closing).

The food portions really were huge. If we had known, we wouldn't have got an appetizer (but would have got one or two to go). (They really were that good)).

Our waitress was so polite and attentive in all the right ways, always a smile on her face and always providing what we needed when we needed it (including extra water for the 🌶 entrée (hot indeed but delicious 😋))

I can't over emphasize how large and delicious the food was at our visit to Weng's. I do wish they served alcohol although; to go, drive thru, and Uber eats is a win with...

I rarely ever leave reviews, but I thought everyone in the cypress area should give this place a try. I purchased 2 lunch plates one for me and one for my 5 yr old son. He is kind of a picky kid but loves shrimp, I ordered him the Beijing shrimp lunch special, which came with rice and an egg roll (offer soup option as well). I figured the shrimp dish would have maybe 4-6 shrimp for a lunch portion, but it had 10 very large shrimp, which I will add, he ate almost all of them! I got the sesame chicken and was also very impressed with the portion size. This was not our first time there, and every time we have been impressed with their portion size and the quality of the food overall. Having a drive through is a plus as well, be prepared to wait a bit at the drive through, but I'll remind you this is not fast food, it is has to be prepared and is worth the wait.
