I had a very disappointing experience at this Chick-fil-A location. I ordered a sandwich with extra pickles — something I’ve done plenty of times at other locations, where I typically receive about 5 or 6 pickles. What I received was completely drenched in pickle juice with what looked like a handful of pickles piled on. It was inedible. I went inside to explain that I didn’t want that many pickles and that it had soaked the sandwich. Instead of taking my concern seriously, I could hear staff in the back laughing. They remade the sandwich — with what I counted to be 23 pickles — which felt very intentional and mocking.
When I asked someone in the drive-thru for their name, an employee named Destiny, working the register inside, suddenly jumped into the conversation very aggressively. She said I shouldn’t be speaking with the other staff member and that she was “busy.” We ended up bickering, and I was shocked by how unprofessional and hostile she was in front of customers. After that, she FaceTimed someone right at the register and turned the camera to show me, while ranting about the situation. It was incredibly inappropriate and uncomfortable. A manager named Xan eventually stepped in and disconnected her call, and to his credit, he remade my sandwich the right way.
Weeks later, the franchise owner reached out and I shared what happened. His response was dismissive — he claimed it was a misunderstanding and implied the initial issue stemmed from how the order was labeled — saying it showed “+5 pickles” and that, in-house, this means more than five pickles. That made no sense to me, especially since I’ve never received anything like a handful of pickles or 23 pickles before when requesting extra. I explained clearly that the issue was too many pickles, not too few. He seemed to gaslight my experience and blamed the situation on my reaction rather than acknowledging the poor handling from his staff. I don’t understand how staff could have gotten confused when I clearly stated the issue with the first sandwich I received.
He even mentioned during our call that the staff had to discuss putting the sandwich in a different package because of how many pickles were added — yet it was still served to me in the regular sandwich packaging. That further proves this wasn’t a normal or justified preparation but rather an intentional exaggeration of my request. The fact that it caused so much internal discussion but was still handed to me as if nothing was wrong only reinforced how dismissive the response was — and that his explanation was more of a justification than a real solution or acknowledgment of the issue.
His exact words were, “I don’t know what to tell you,” in a very nonchalant tone. At that point, I began recording the call, and he immediately disconnected. When I tried calling back, he spoke quickly and hung up again, saying there was no need for further conversation. On a second call, he told me not to return to the location.
This was not the Chick-fil-A service I’ve known or expected. I felt mocked, disrespected, and dismissed as a paying customer. I won’t be returning to this location, and based on this experience, I don’t feel comfortable recommending...
Read moreIt's a great place simply because it's a Chick-fil-A establishment however Im less than thrilled with this particular location because of the management and the employees that with at this particular franchise. They are biased, rude and unaccommodating. I've come to think of Chick-fil-A as a place that sticks by it's model of being there for it's community, helping out the community and being a good role model for the community patrons. I personally watched as they called the police on a beautiful young woman who comes from a wealthy family who entered the restaurant looking exhausted and disheveled because her car had broken down and her phone has died so she had to walk over 10 miles to reach her residential area and a place she thought was comfortable and safe. She was sweaty, exhausted, slightly dirty and highly emotional but there was no doubting her privileged upbringing and status as a member of the upper class. Despite the very obvious, the employees of this restaurant refused to get her something to drink and instead chose to call the police and throw her out. The police came and she eventually left in an ambulance and was taken to a hospital to be treated for heat stroke and exhaustion. Walking for so long in the middle of the day in the middle of summer in Atlanta had taken it's toll and she desperately needed rest and fluids after her ordeal. She needed compassion and understanding. She needed a safe place to hydrate herself and to call her family or friends to help facilitate a ride home got herself. Watching the way this woman was treated by a place, that is supposed to be the for the members of their community, was disheartening and embarrassing. I felt so bad for her and wanted to reach out to help her but it was too late by the time I realized what had happened. I swore that I would never again give this particular establishment a cent of my hard earned money and that I would let others know of the behavior and actions of these workers. So despite the good food and the typical chick-fil-a standard I'll never again patron this particular...
Read moreVERY disappointing experience at the Rivermont location on 8475 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30022. I know that the pandemic has forced Chick-fil-A's staff to adjust. But now that all orders are pretty much taken at drive-through by team members (instead of the intercom system), more patience is needed with customers as they put in their order, get their mobile device ready, etc. I have often felt rushed, and today was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Maggie met me in my van with 4 kids in tow and appeared aggravated to start. I felt rushed and overwhelmed by her demanding tone, harsh eye contact, and body language which basically said "hurry up." She became very frustrated as I thought about what to order, not understanding my difficulty with 4 kids in my ear asking for all of their favorites. In the middle of ordering, I got a phone call from my wife, she was calling to let me know what she also wanted. I took this 30-second call, and Maggie's countenance was extremely judgemental and she clearly had an attitude. She rudely entered the rest of my order, snatched my credit card from me, and pushed it back to me after payment without even looking at me. She then turned her back on me and said "have a nice day!" As I moved ahead in the line, I told her (rather firmly), "you need to change your attitude." She then argued with me for 2mins, stating "you shouldn't be taking a call with people behind you!"I demanded a refund, and me and my 4 kids all left hungry. Not a single team member that I complained to at the window tried to right Maggie's wrong. Not one tried to offer me any condolences or suggest to have this order be free. No one stepped up, everyone was concerned about the 30 customers in the line behind me from start to finish. Terrible service, especially given the FACT that we spend hundreds of dollars at...
