Barberitos — Restaurant in Johnson City

I placed an online order at this facility on June 20th at 2:57 pm for pickup at 3:50 pm. I arrived on time and never had anyone assist me. I could clearly see individuals inside the facility with very few patrons. A young man wearing a Barberitos shirt walked into the side entrance, but I still never received any assistance even by clearly parked at the curbside sign and a clear view of the register. I ended up calling the facility phone number at 4:01 pm that went to voicemail. Called immediately back at 4:02 pm and it sounded like someone answered but after I repeatedly said "Hello," the call was dropped. I then parked my vehicle at roughly 4:05 pm and put on a mask and went inside the facility. Upon entry there were (3) individuals standing near the register doing nothing. A young girl came to assist me and I told her I had been waiting outside for over 10 minutes for a curbside order. She did apologize and a young man then retrieved my order stating "they couldn't see over the wood partition," then proceeded to jump up and down as an example. Frustrated, I took my order and left. I then called for the third time, upon leaving the facility, to speak with a manager. A young girl then answered the phone and I asked if a manager was a available. She replied "sure," and then asked where I was? I told her I had just left the facility, but would like to speak with a manager. After a minute or so she then said she was the manager. I asked for her name and she said Anna. I told her about my experience and expressed that by having a barrier to prevent visibility for incoming curbside orders should be addressed. Also, maybe the curbside line should be checked periodically, if not then personally I don't see a reason of scheduling any pickup times if you still have to wait. Anna apologized several times and offered a free burrito and cheese dip at a later date, but I highly doubt I will be going back. She ended the conversation by saying "I hope you have a better day," which I feel is an unnecessary statement as my day was going just fine until I received less than poor...

Met a friend here yesterday for lunch, neither if us had been there before. The staff was very friendly, the line guy let me sample the pulled pork, which had a very good flavor, was spicy, but not too much, and was hot. It was just a bit more spicy than what I was looking for, so I got the non-spicy chicken in a burrito. The flour tortilla was grilled like 5 seconds. I got chicken, and asked for extra chicken, because it didn't seem like much, but it made the burrito, huge, so I know next time not to ask for extra meat. My friend got a taco salad. We also got the hand smashed guacamole (awesome, I love chunky guacamole) and cheese dip (very good). The potential was there for an awesome lunch. Unfortunately, my burrito was cold. I was expecting the chicken and black beans to be hot. And the tortilla was not properly grilled so it was soggy. I asked my friend about her taco salad, she said it was good, but only warmish. The only warm thing on my burrito was the cheese dip I put on it. I did not think about saying anything to the staff while I was there. They may have made it right immediately, but I didn't give them the opportunity. I believe in giving places second chances, so we'll go back. The pork I sampled was steaming hot, so I don't know what was going on with the chicken and beans. I wasn't able to finish my burrito, due to the size, and being cold, so I microwaved it for lunch today. ...

This was a good Barberitos years ago. My family and I came here a month ago the service was horrible and the food was mediocre at best. I ordered tacos and they shells were stale. They fixed it but it took nearly 20 minutes and I missed getting to eat with my family. Fast forward to today. I gave them time to get their act together. The staff was extremely rude and disrespectful. My wife asked about a new menu item and the staff member could not tell her what made it different. I was asked what I wanted on my quesadillas and I told the staff member that I had two and I wanted the same on both. He did not hear me and when he came back I told him the other quesadilla was the same and he rolled his eyes and huffed like it was an inconvenience. The chips that were provided were burnt and covered in so much grease they were inedible. I asked for more and they were the same. While I was waiting in a small line to get a lid and straw for my child’s drink a star member jumped in front of me and grabbed a lid and stood there talking to someone. I told him he just jumped in front of me and he looked at me with a disrespectful attitude and walked off to take a break I assume. I will not be back until the staffing issue...
