The individuals closing last night (June 13, 2023) were extremely rude and rushed to get the customers out so they could close/leave ASAP. I get it. Iāve worked retail majority of my 12 year career span, but they were extremely rude and unprofessional about the closing times and the check out process, to the point where another customer started cussing at the employees for rushing and herding us to the front like cattle, well before the 9PM closing; and coming around the store every few minutes to remind us they were closing. I came in 15 minutes to close just to grab something real quick and was told at least 3 times personally they would be closing at 9PM, and they came up to my mom and told her twice. Like thank you we heard you the first time, and time after. I felt just as frustrated as the other woman but Iām not going to belittle somebody working (although they were extremely eager for us all to leave and stop working lol.) Like I said I get it, but itās just their approach and demeanor in regards to it, maybe some better training on professionalism and positive customer service interactions? I could tell my cashier was feeling a little guilty about it, as I guess she noticed I was being irritated by their behavior, so she did try to be a little more friendly towards the end of my check out, I will say. But they have also renovated their check out line to where self check out does not take cash, and that they only accept it at 2 of the registers on either end. Just seems like if you were going to take the time to integrate a new check out system you could have spared a few more hundred dollars to get one that accepts cash, or at least have friendly and well trailed employees to handle cash transactions. Overall very frustrating visit and will be continuing to shop at other local craft stores such as Hobby Lobby or Joanneās as their employees are always eager to help and wait on employees, and their checkout...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat for the things that I need to keep my online business growing. I sell art of all sorts from wood burning to paintings to sketches and carvings and much more.. they have a great selection of basswood in various shapes types and sizes in a price range that is affordable and leaves me room for profit. However some art supplies here can be expensive because they do carry high quality paints and brushes and pens n pencils and have a large selection of sketching paper along with various other art supplies. If your into jewelry making, or designing t-shirts, or into making home decor or wood carving, pyrography (wood burning), stencil making, etc... The list goes on and on but if you enjoy arts & crafts of any kind you most likely will find what your looking for. Last but not least they always have at least a 40% off coupon and sometimes it's %50 or more all you have to do is Google Search Michaels arts and crafts coupons and you can easily load a digital one or just ask your cashier they will almost always have them on hand for you to use. Highly recommended. Just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went into Michaels specifically for the 4x6 photo memory boxes and was quite disappointed in the selection and prices. All the mentioned boxes have the same cheapo silver label holder and the inside of the boxes is raw cardboard. Cashier was a sweet girl helping me any way she could. Traffic in there was extremely light. After i left there i went to Hobby Lobby to look at their photo boxes and was blown away by their beautiful, varied and affordable selections. (.. and their photo boxes have the gold label holder that i prefer, and are lined with white interior paper not raw cardboard). Traffic there was very heavy both days i was in there earlier this week. Employees and customers were all sweet and very helpful. The only thing that gets to me is in years past we had Christmas in July sales and then they went away for a couple months. Nowadays Christmas BEGINS in July and doesn't go away until New Years. . By the time Christmas gets here we are so sick of it and ready for it to be over with, which drains a lot of joy...
