me and my husband went here and my husband cannot eat any kind of peppers or onions, however I do. When I ordered his, I told them this and that I needed his with only meat and cheese with bacon nothing else, I got chicken and he got steak, when they where cooking it they went from mine with the peppers and onions in it straight to his and didn't even try to get the onions and peppers off of the spatula before cutting his up, when we looked down we could see big chunks of pepper and onion and a piece of chicken in his steak we asked them to get the pepper and onion out of his, and the boy got a little tiny piece of pepper and a piece of the chicken out and just kept chopping it up and he made sure that he hid the onion as if we didn't see it. It seemed like he wanted us to think that the piece of chicken that he took out was the onion when we where watching what he was doing and could clearly see that it was chicken it wasn't the onion that he took out. That is not to mention the fact that he was cross contaminating using the same utensil for steak and chicken everyone knows you aren't supposed to do that especially without wiping it off, I mean we went in there and paid 10 dollars a piece for two sandwiches and we had already given them a 3 dollar tip, and they don't have the decency to make sure they cook it the way you want. the whole time we where there, all three of them (3 teenage boys) acted and looked like they hated there job including the one that was on register that seemed to be the team leader or manager. Anyway this was the worst customer service I have ever had and I will not be coming back to this location. By the way this was my first job when I was 15 years old so I know what it is like to work there but I also know what it is to make sure you have good customer service and no body at this location has a clue...
Read moreI come in for dinner a lot and my family and I also eat take out. We have noticed that the Charley’s on W Market St is really poorly ran. We can never get anyone on the phone, ever, to order. We have tried numerous times but they never answer. I know this has to be running a ton of customers off. Also, every single time they’re about to close- they lock the door usually an hr or more before close. It would make sense that they wanted plenty enough time to clean and everything, but for normal restaurants- and I’ve worked at a bunch, this isn’t normal. People usually take customers right up until close and do their side work while they’re closing. I have never seen a business do this every single day before in my life. I feel really bad for the owner of this business because I know it has to be frustrating having your employees do this because it’s probably taking a ton of your business. I don’t usually comment on these things, I really don’t try to leave reviews but this is one that I feel is necessary for the owners or people managing this restaurant. Please take my advice and hire better staffing and managers for your restaurant. The Charley’s in the mall is a great atmosphere and everyone is always kind and the food is great. Every time I’ve come to the Charley’s on West Market it’s been either A. People closing way too early (and for us that get off work later that is super annoying to drive somewhere thinking there’s an hour or two left and the doors are closed) or B. poor quality service and rudeness. Take it from someone who has helped run restaurants for years, you can do so much better! The only reason we continue to eat here at all is because it’s close to our house and the food is good. I hope you hear me, I really wanna see this business thrive because the...
Read moreVisited the store at 230pm today to place a to go order and I was the only patron in the store at that time and it was so dirty. Trash receptacle was full. Trays, napkins, food strewn everywhere in all four corners of the dining area. The employee who came out to ring me up was completely distracted by the airpod in his ear and asked me to repeat my sandwich order because he was busy listening to what was playing in his ear. The second employee came out of the back to cook my order and he too had airpods in his ears and was not paying attention to the meat on the grill. He ended up burning my steak and did not put the mushrooms requested on my chicken. I had to ask if he was going to put mushrooms on that sandwich and his reply was "Oh I didn't see that". As my order was being bagged there were several (at least 3) orders that came in from online and both employees huffed and puffed because they were now going to have to work a little bit more. One of them went to to back and grabbed another employee who seemed to be waking up from a nap, as she rubbed her eyes and yawned on her way out of the back door. Will not return to this store unless these people can clean the store and pay better attention to...
