Ok yall, I am new to Indian food, having just starting eating it about a month ago, and I absolutely love all the different flavor profiles! We moved to this area a few years ago and have heard nothing but good things but now that we know what to expect, we had to give Sahib a try. I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner! Out of the few restaurants we have tried, this food here at Sahib takes the cake! Rocky was our server and recommended some delicious food to try! Everyone was really nice in the place as well! They also ask you what your spice tolerance is which is really nice :) I had the Rogan Josh Lamb and my husband had the Butter Chicken (they have it listed under it’s traditional name, can’t remember what that is off the top of my head). We had the Chilli Paneer and a bread basket with Feta naan, garlic naan, and bullet naan. The Bullet naan is spicy naan and all three were absolutely scrumptious! The Rogan Josh lamb was rich and creamy and delicious 🤤 I had a few bites of my husbands butter chicken and it was delicious and perfectly seasoned! Everything came out steaming & piping hot! Their water, which they serve complementary, was filtered and tasted good. We ordered of course a mango lassi to compare with the other three we’ve had so far and Sahib’s takes the cake with theirs as well! Best mango lassi I’ve ever had! We had plenty of food to take home too. They also served a type of sweet bread soaked in syrup, gulab jamun. I didn’t think to get a picture of those till we ate them all, I took a picture of the bowl it came in.

Update: I highly recommend their lunch buffet to try things you might never have ordered for yourself. Some of their vegan dishes are amazing that I’d otherwise never order since I love lamb and goat 😅 I tried ever since thing they had in their buffet and all of it was delicious, we got the Mango Lassi’s again and they were even better than last time! 🤤 Their Food & Mango Lassi’s are still number 1 after having tried more Indian food in Seattle, and in...

We have now been to Sahib twice in just 3 weeks. Both times for dinner. Once just a date night and the 2nd time we couldn't wait to bring our children. We have family from India and we travel a lot for business. When traveling we try to find the best Indian restaurant in that new US city. We moved to the TriCities over a year ago and why it took us so long to try Sahib, I do not know. The flavors were on point both visits and honestly the best we have found so far in our journeys. We have tried over our 2 visits Chicken Tikka Masala, lamb Rogan Josh, Chili Chicken, Chicken Vindaloo, Mango Lassi(drink), Garlic Naan, and Mango Cheesecake. Each item was delicious and will order again. Every staff member we met was polite, friendly, and eager. Our water glass was never empty. The dinner crowd became quite busy suddenly , which is a good thing, so timing for food was a little slow but the owner apologized without us saying a word and went above and beyond. He even picked up taking table orders, making drinks, running orders etc throughout the restaurant. I have been to countless restaurants and it is rare to see an owner jump in and make sure customers are happy and needs are met before a complaint is ever made. We have already suggested the place to multiple friends and people we have come in contact with. We are excited to try their lunch buffet soon and we can't wait to bring family when they are in town and get their opinion of our new...

Rocky and Rashi really made our first visit to Sahib top notch! This was our first time trying Sahib and we were not disappointed. Our large party tried the Meat Samosas and Vegetable Samosas as our appetizers and they were delicious! They also brought out an array of chutneys and bread when you are seated and all three flavors we tried were very good. The Lamb Rogan Josh, Mango Chicken, Chicken Vindaloo and Tandoori Chicken all came with Basmati Rice and we also ordered Garlic and Regular Naan Bread. Everyone loved what they ordered and the portions were generous, hot and well presented. My mom also got a slice of Mango Cheesecake for dessert!

If you are new to Indian Cusine do not be afraid to try Sahib. The staff, Rocky and Rashi, took excellent care of us and were more than happy to answer any questions we had. They ask you how spicy you like your food, so you can get it just how you like it. They also offer a daily lunch buffet, which would be a fantastic way to try different dishes if you are new to Indian cuisine or if you just want to try a little bit of everything. Additionally, the dinner menu had TONS of selection, as well as lots of vegetarian options so I think anyone could find something to suit them here! My only regret is that we didn't try it sooner....

My wife and I first visited Sahib more than a year ago, while we were still courting, and had chosen the restaurant for our first dinner date in the tri cities. We were treated to a very special experience, getting a spread of dishes based on the chef's personal recommendations after he came out and spoke with us. He was a man who loved his food as much as his customers do! Though we had visited Sahib during their lunch buffet hours with friends since then, this evening was our first time revisiting for dinner together. The food was no less excellent than it was the first time. The Jalfreza curry was a deliciously smooth dish featuring bell peppers and onions alongside your chosen protein- I opted for the tender and juicy lamb this time, which was balanced very well with the sauce. My wife got the mint chicken, which is marinated in one of the same sauces that are served with bread complimentary to any meal. The marinade was mild with an oniony pop that paired very nicely with the medium heat we asked for. Though somewhat spicy, the mint made it quite refreshing while also being far from what I would have expected a mint-based dish would be. Did I mention the chicken was served to us flaming?

Sahib's Indian Cuisine in Johnson City tonight. For starters we tried the Shrimp Imli lightly marinated in a tangy sauce, Onion Bhajia thinly sliced onions dipped in gram flour and spice, and Paneer Pakora, handmade cheese fritters gently seasoned with spices. Our entrees were Curry Chicken exotically prepared in a light gravy sauce served mildly spiced, and Tandoori Mixed Grill from their charcoal fired Tandoor consisting of Lamb, Chicken and Shrimp, with sauteed green and red peppers and onions. This dish was served "Indian Hot" as compared to the Curry chicken which was not as fiery. Too much food for two, so we took a lot of it home. For dessert we had the chef's homemade Mango Pudding and Kulfi Icecream homemade from thickened milk cooked several hours, and then quickly frozen with the nutty taste of almonds with a magical touch of East India. All in all this was an adventure. We hadn't had Indian food since Augusto AndDaisy Portuondo created an international cultural club and invited us and others to share their cuisine and experiences, one of which was Indian food. If you haven't tried any yet, I recommend it. Thanks to Sunny Likhari Singh for her suggestions.
