Pal's is definitely our favorite fast food 'go to', and it has been for years. Today, however, was mainstream fast food service and typical of anywhere but Pal's. The girl who took my order greets me with a simply a slumped over look, then she finally spoke and said, "What can I getcha?" Once the order was taken, no other words....the staff of Pal's have always been expected to be the cut above of what you'd expect to receive at other fast food places, but not today. She didn't even muster up a, "Drove around please," much less a, "Thank you". She closed her window, period. The only employee, who was the normal, courteous Pal's type was the young man who handed me the food. My large soft drink was over spilling (it had been over filled) and when he kindly showed the girl who was the one who filled the drink, she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't know what happened". The young man ended up getting me another drink, a new one, while she just stood there. I know she's the one who filled the drink because he had to show her how to place the lid on correctly for security. This all occurred as I awaited the fries to finish cooking. Lastly, when I got my food, there was a biscuit that I did not order in my bag. I usually only leave positive comments on Google, or I don't leave a comment at all, but the apathetic attitude of two of the ladies working was a total contrast to the service and kindness associated with Pal's. Perhaps if they cared a little more, paid more attention, and acted appropriately, they'd also get their orders correct and clean, without overflowing drinks. The overflowing drink was fixable, but I'm uncertain whether or not the apathetic attitude of the female employee who caused that mess is fixable at all. When are we going to start having a little pride in the work we do??? It'si likely a part time, temporary job, I get it, but it's the stepping stone towards their future as a job reference and/or potentially the attitude they continue to develop that will spill over into another workplace. ...
Read moreI think it's hard to give a rating because it seems most fast food restaurants are very inconsistent with their staff, especially the night crews. I've had good experiences at this place but I really just wanted to review it because I went to this place, a few weeks ago and the food was pretty good and it was at night, they charged me 10$ and change for a meal.
I came back recently at night and the exact same meal was exactly 3$ dollars more, all of a sudden and was my biggest concern going here this time. The worker said "inflation and corporate" were the reasonings for the price increase.
They got my order wrong, because I ordered plain and on the receipt it said plain but wasn't and I was the only one in line, they had like 5+ people in there and that still happened, almost like on purpose. It is what it is, I just wiped the stuff off of the burger but it just infuriates me seeing that many people in there, essentially doing nothing but they still managed to charge me more and mess my order up. They've also been pretty stingy with the seasoning on the fries, unfortunately.
I honestly just can't recommend going to most fast food restaurants later in the evening or at night, atleast in this area. The staff are just really random and your experience is completely...
Read moreAs always, the food at Pals is amazing. However, this location as well as others should be shut down and remodeled due to the fact that it causes a SERIOUS traffic hazard.
When this location is backed up, the road in front of the location is completely backed up, sometimes close to the main road.
Two days ago I was almost involved in a head on crash because someone was driving on the wrong side of the road to get around the line of cars waiting to pull into the drive-thru.
I understand Pals cannot be responsible for how people drive, however, Pals IS responsible for designing their business and the parking lot so it does not interfere with the flow of traffic in the area.
The city should force a change if Pals is...
