Oooo boy. I think we ordered the wrong thing. I know people love this place, and what I could eat of the food was very tasty. Seasoned well and delicious. We both ordered the ribeye steak sandwich. I ordered mine med rare and received it medium. But that's fine, I'm not even upset about that. The issue was the steak itself. It was half gristle and unrendered chewy fat. Portions on the inside of the steak were editable, but tough. The flavor was good though. They are well seasoned. I liked the bread it was served on and I appreciate the pickles left on the side. I'm not exaggerating when I say we had to leave half our steaks behind because it was just inedible. Which brings me to another absolute disaster. We had to cut all the fat and gristle off the steak on these super tiny plates. It was next to imposdible.. we had fries spilling off the plate onto the table. And we didn't even have a lot of fries. I would say the quantity of fries was equal to a small or medium at McDonald's. It was just a small plate and so annoying. The fries were excellent though. Very crispy. I got cheese sauce to dip them in and that cheese sauce is second to none. Very delicious. I just think the kitchen could benefit from a sousvide system for the steak so they can get that fat rendered.
Now the service, or lack of service I should say. Our waitress was pretty terrible. Brought the wrong drinks, and disappeared. We asked another waitress if she could find her for us after waiting for about 15 minutes. When she arrived, she brought the food out, fixed the drinks, then disappeared again. We didn't see her til she brought the check, and our drinks had long been dry. She never mentioned specials to us. I overheard another waitress telling a table about them. I think I heard her say something about Jambalaya. Man I wish I could have got that. That's right up our alley. I do not see us giving this place another shot because it was such an awful experience, but I could taste in the food that there is probably something excellent on that menu, it just wasn't what we ordered. Maybe it was...
Read moreThis was our first time and we were super excited after constantly seeing all the good reviews on Facebook. Maybe we went on a bad day but unfortunately we did not have a good first experience.
We arrived around 3:30pm on a Saturday. We had a party of 6. They told us there would be a wait and we decided to put our name down. After about 10 mins we were seated.
20 mins later a man walked over to ask how we were doing and we mentioned a server never came over to our table. He apologized and sent someone over. At that point we ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees. (The waitress was extremely friendly!)
Appitizers: • Saganaki sticks (they are mozzarella sticks). They were good. • Steak Bites. They were amazing. Absolutely delicious! • shrimp • Chicken tenders with fries
After about waiting an hour the food came out. • rigatoni with sausage and peppers- the sauce tasted like ragu and the noodles were over cooked. •Beef Wellington- first time ever having it. Good. •Steak • Chicken Parmigiana sandwich • Chicken wrap… thats where it got interesting. According to the menu their was no sauce. The wrap had buffalo sauce. Honest mistake no worries! The man came over and apologized. Took it back and said he would replace it. About 5mins later he comes back with another wrap. Took a bite and the chicken was not fully cooked. The waitress told the man and he asked if they could replace it and at the point i was just not happy i told him to take it off the bill.
The man (I didn’t know his name) and the waitress were extremely friendly. But unfortunately like i said maybe we went...
Read moreMy wife and I love this place. We try to eat here a minimum of once a month on a date night.
Every time we come back we try something new. Most people like to stick with what they love and what they like. But at Fritz's Pour House, you're not going to find anything you won't like. Trust me on that!!!
Stopped in here 2 weeks ago on a Wednesday night which is wine night for the ladies! We started our night off with a few cocktails, then ordered our appetizer. The famous saganaki cheese sticks are always phenomenally cooked so they are very tasty.
I highly suggest squeezing the lemon on the saganaki cheese sticks that they give you tastes so good!
After a few more cocktails we ordered our dinner. My wife ordered the 2-piece dark meat chicken dinner with fresh broccoli and a loaded baked potato. The chicken was very moist. The broccoli very fresh. All very tasty.
I ordered the baked white fish and shrimp with broccoli and coleslaw The fish and the shrimp were cooked so well. They melted in your mouth. Probably one of the best new dishes that I've tried. I highly recommend!!!
I will close with this. The food, the service and the atmosphere are always top notch at Fritz's poor House, five stars across the board!!! Looking forward to our next date night and trying something new. You did it again Fritz's keep up the great work. Hail hail to all the chefs and the staff. Keep up the great...
