I shop at this location all of the time and have never had a problem until tonight. I was shopping with my small children and i had my little one in the back of the shopping cart. the other one was beside the cart. I had to use the rest room. Usually i take the cart with me because they’re in the cart. I know you can’t take merchandise in and I never do. Just my kids in the cart because where am I going to put them when im going to the bathroom. Today as I was going into the restroom an associate was coming out. The associate says you can’t take the cart in. I tell her and show her I don’t have any merchandise. She says its our policy. I say my baby’s in the cart we don’t have any merchandise. I’m starting right at the sign that says NO MERCHANDISE WE ELECTRONICALLY MONITOR MERCHANDISE! nothing about a cart. I try to point it out to her and she had already walked away from. So I take my kids out and go to the bathroom which could have been cleaner. I attempt to use the biggest stall but it is filthy. So i have no choice but to use the small one. I would have felt better if my little one was in the cart still instead of me trying to keep him still while I go to the bathroom. anyway i finished which was a struggle. Then i go to ask for a manager and guess who shows up. The associate says she’s a supervisor. I tell the associate no i need to talk to the store manager not her. She calls him and says the customer needs you, the complaint is about so and so (i wont use their names, I do have them though). Then I can hear someone say LOL out loud on the walkie. At that point I knew it was pointless and i left. I tried calling corporate but they were closed. I called another burlington and explained the situation to the supervisor there. I just wanted to see what the rule was. She explained that there is a policy but we verify that customers have no merchandise and let them take the cart in when they have children in the cart. She said they understand and a lot of the shoppers shop with kids. She even said they verify no merchandise at the fitting rooms too because where would you put your child or make sure they’re not roaming. I felt so uncomfortable. I felt the discrimination and I will be calling...
Read moreI came 45 mintues before closing time at the sale time. I found a staff called "Sherry" infront of the store stopped me saying that I should not enter because the number of people inside is reached the maximum limit ... I wait until some people left the store and she kept preventing me from not entering the store ... I told her I will not buy anything I just need to know if the stock in this branch is good to come tomorrow morning or its better to go another branch she still preventing me from entering ... I see her attitude is very rood and not logic in her answers & intractions ... It seems she has personality who like just to stop and control people without any logic in answers and interactions ... Which made me feels bad ... Its not good to keep someone with this personality infront of...
Read moreOn several occasions visiting this store (on Larkin Av in Joliet, IL) I experienced sub-par customer service. One in particular was where I was at the register and the lady cashier was on the phone having a heated conversation with whomever and i felt uncomfortable with the amount of foul language that was used. This store seems to be wide open. People were seen entering and leaving the Joliet store through other doors other than the the front door with merchandise and entering vehicles parked both on the side of the store as well as the back of the store. It seems as though the staff doesn't even care about whether or not people are stealing. You could literally walk out of the front door and the staff...
