VERY disappointed with this establishment. The manager very unprofessional. I dined in on 10/13/24 at 10:36 am, and I was overcharged. We had a table of 5, which for most establishments, do not charge gratuity. I want to let everyone know, that it is located on the menu in fine print. With how wordy this menu is, it may be difficult to find.
Gratuity wasn’t the issue. I always LOVE to tip those especially those who work within the foodservice industry. The issue lied with the fact that when checking out at the counter. We were provided with one receipt, to split out check into 3 checks. We had a kind lady help us split the check. Now, it was NOT informed that gratuity was charged and nor were we provided with a receipt to show this. So it was just a total with an additional gratuity line. I asked staff if gratuity was included after I noticed this. She said yes. I did request to remove the additional tip. The manager said he would correct this in the system. We WERE NOT provided with a receipt to take home due to this complication and splitting checks into three.
When I called today to inform the manager I was overcharged I received nothing but rude and outrageous responses. Gaslighting would be a word to describe this action. He was unwilling to search in the system the time were dined in and the amount of the bill, without a receipt. Mind you, the receipt was NOT provided. I have worked in food industry quite sometime, where I have done this for individuals. Manager was not willing. Stated he would provide me the money cash in person. Unfortunately, living a great distance away I can NOT make this drive. I asked if he would mail this through check. He was not willing to do so.
Manager had no way to reimburse or compensate me for the money I was overcharged. Actions say a lot about a place. If he is willing to treat customers this way, imagine how he must treat the staff!! I will never be attending this facility again.

We ordered a VEGGIE omelette. Shortly into the omelette we found ham. My wife and I are both allergic to ham. We notified the server immediately. She told us she would let the manager know and she would be over shortly. After waiting 15 mins, the manager finally shows up to apologize. She asked if we wanted the omelette remade. We told her no because our taste was ruined. She said ok then walked away. The server said the manager would take care of us. She brings out the check and just removed the omelette we ordered. We then asked to speak to the owner politely. He comes over after 30 minutes because he was "busy washing dishes." What kind of customer service is this. He has someone walking around acting as a manger but does not have someone to wash his dishes. Once he comes over his conversation begins with him yelling and attacking us. Instead of apologizing for the food or the wait he starts to yell at us saying we called the manager stupid. Wow! What an accusation to make from your customer! Our reason to speak to him was to inform him about the situation so it does not happen to anyone else. He says he doesn't care about our experience because this place is the number one pancake house. YES he really did say this! He the. throws the check at our face and says make sure you pay the bill. I hope this place closes down. As we were talking my daughter said, “Mom, you have HAIR in your food!” When the Waitress came to our table I showed her the hair on the eggs. She said she would give me another order. I asked her if it would be free. She said she would talk with her manager. She came back and said that she could only give me another meal and that I would have to pay for it. I asked to talk to the manager. The manager came over and said it is policy that that I could only get another meal and pay for that meal I told her that ask her to future customers she should be able to give me a free meal considering that there was hair and the food I don’t expect to come to a restaurant finding hair in my food. Her employee should be wearing something on your head to make sure that there is no hair on the food that is their responsibility. And in her end it would be courteous to the customer to give them a free meal considering it was here on the food. She said is not it is not their policy. So I gave them back their meal and didn’t eat their food. My daughter did not eat her food because she wanted to go home and expected to make sure I didn’t have any hair on the food. I will not go back there Again because the service of the manager was terrible. Being a manager she should have overwritten her policy and given the customer a Free meal and made the customer happy.
