Let me just say, this place is great! Overall I love Indian food as a whole and the food here is immaculate. I love seeing options that are regional and authentic. So far I’ve had the biryani and the tikki masala as entrees and both were great, can’t wait to try more. I ordered both to the medium spice level and as someone who likes it spicy this is a true medium. The garlic naan is so so so good i order two potions so i have enough to eat on its own and then i use one portion to scoop and eat my meal. I also had had the veggie pakora app and the aloo tikki app and they were both delicious. I dipped the aloo in the masala sauce i had and it was HEAVENLY. The veggie pakora was perfectly fried without being too heavy.
Also purchasing two naan, an appetizer, and an entree for $25? Oh yeah. That’s a damn good price for quality and the quantity. I take my leftovers to work and they’re still just as good as the first time around.
I’ve only ordered to go/takeout later in the evening as my work schedule has me coming home late some nights. The service was immediate as i can assume they hit an evening lull after 7-8pm but even then I’d be willing to wait longer if i was dinning in during rush hours. The owner was very welcoming and we had a nice short conversation while i waited on my food (to go), and the two waitresses have been more than polite and accommodating.
I will 100% be a regular customer to taste of India! Support small businesses,...
Read moreI had an incredible meal at Taste of India. The food was so fresh and everything tasted amazing. Plus, the staff was really friendly. Andy greeted us and made sure we had a great experience.
Vegetable Samosa: We started with these, and they were perfect. Super crispy on the outside and filled with a savory mix of potatoes and peas. The mint and tamarind sauces were nice.
Chicken Korma & Cheese Naan: I had the chicken korma for my main dish. The chicken was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sauce was rich, creamy, and spiced just right. I asked for it medium-hot and the spice level was perfect. I paired it with the cheese naan, which was fluffy and cheesy. I'll probably try the garlic naan next.
Mango Lassi: I'm not a huge mango fan but I actually enjoyed this a lot. It was sweet and refreshing and really balanced out the rich flavors of the korma.
Gulab Jamun: For dessert, I got the gulab jamun. They're these little fried cake balls soaked in a sweet, rose-scented syrup. They were so soft and decadent, but very very sweet.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for great...
Read moreWhat I loved about Taste of India was that they were small and comfortable. It felt like being home. One gentleman who worked there walked around to make sure things were running smoothly and even asked some personal questions to get to know me. I also really enjoyed my two servers. They were very kind and served me well, making sure my Indian experience was authentic and even making sure the spice level was up to par. I enjoyed their smile and professionalism. At Taste of India, I got the Chicken Korma, Garlic Naan, Chicken Vegetable Soup, and Sweet Lassi. I have never had these dishes and I was very impressed, especially with the Sweet Lassi! Perfect for a cool fall day and perfect meal after work/workout. It was very flavorful and hearty. I will definitely be going again, as their food was very high grade and it was so personable. They also had several people getting food to go and DoorDash orders, so you know it’s good food. Excellent job,...
