Pal's Sudden Service — Restaurant in Jonesborough

This place is the epitome of excellent customer service! Not only is the food amazing -- always hot, always properly seasoned -- the people are incredibly friendly and accommodating, which I imagine can become quite difficult to constantly uphold in such close, boiling quarters.

I remember I even purchased dinner for the entire family here one night, but when they tried to swipe my card, it wouldn't scan. Rather than keep my food, they gave me my order and told me I could just pay them back as soon as I was able. I was able to go immediately to an ATM and withdraw the money, but it always stuck with me how amazing that was, especially when this happened several years ago. As a matter of fact, this same location has done this for me a couple more times since.

Let me take a minute to talk about Pal’s. If you’re from around here and you haven’t heard about ’em… you live under a rock. If you’re new to the area, it’s okay to believe the hype. Pal’s is great! And it’s cheap, like uncomfortably cheap. Like it makes everyone else look like they’re ripping you off! But really, the menu is very simple. Burgers, shakes, fries and dogs. Great breakfast too. Pal's is consistent with their service and food - fast and friendly, almost always getting my order right (speaking directly with the person who calls out the order to the kitchen line, no fuzzy-sounding weather-beaten speakers to translate), and some of the best fast-food fare anywhere. They're almost always busy, but the line moves quickly - a testament to how well-loved this local chain is, and for good reason.
