Apple Creek Creamery — Restaurant in Jonesborough

The ice cream was just ok, the description on Google claimed it was homemade but it doesn’t taste homemade and it is not as creamy as homemade (which after reading the rude responses from the owner I am now aware it’s not homemade it’s “handcrafted” and “everyone’s mom makes homemade ice cream” I’m also aware by the owners rude responses that the peanut butter fudge does not have fudge in it but “is made like the fudge is made”). The parking lot is too small, there isn’t enough seating, there is little to no shade, and the product is just like any other ice cream. Honestly, I would have returned but after reading the responses from the owner, I won’t be back, please learn emotional regulation and how to respond to customers who are giving their honest feedback. The responses alone show his character and how he treats people, I don’t want to support people like that.

**UPDATE: Owner is claiming that by leaving my honest review of his product , parking lot, lack of seating and shade, as well as his rude responses to customers (which you can read in the responses on the reviews for yourself) that I am part of some online attack against his business. I guess anyone who does not leave him 5 stars is part of an online harassment and bullying campaign because he cannot believe that people would not like his product, his parking lot, lack of seating, shade or his rude responses to customers. Sir, please understand that not everyone has to like your product and they are allowed to leave their honest reviews to that product, which includes the product, seating and the atmosphere. Not everyone is out to get you and you are not a victim of harassment and bullying just because someone leaves you a one star review. Please learn emotional regulation, it would benefit you in life...

The funny thing is, they really think paying someone well excuses everything. But it was never about the money. She loved her job. She was thriving. What hurt most was the complete lack of communication—no heads-up, no conversation… just blindsided.

What’s even crazier? I was there just days before, listening to the owner praise her—saying they didn’t know what they’d do without her. Then suddenly, her things were packed up like she never mattered.

It’s not about paychecks. It’s about people. And when you treat good people like they’re disposable, you reveal exactly who you are.

She’s never once complained about her pay. So stop trying to spin the narrative. And no—she hasn’t asked anyone to leave reviews. People did that because they saw the truth...

Amazing little local hole in the wall ice cream joint in the car wash parking lot. They make their Ice cream, Italian ices, and fresh squeezed lemonade along with frozen coffees and milkshakes all homemade here in jonesborough and it shows. Phenomenal flavor and since ritas ice closed they are the only place I can get Italian ices locally too when I want something different (they are also my favorite kind of frozen treat 😅). My mother and I go here often to treat ourselves. Very reasonably priced and a wonderful older couple owns and runs the place and they are very friendly. Highly recommend and show your support for a local business. Hard to find true mom and pop places like this anymore that...
