Popped in for my wife's and mine 12th Anniversary. An early lunch/dinner, a linner I guess, lol Second time here in the last 40 days. A great atmosphere, clean restrooms, clean tables/booths, clean floor, all those things on the surface that one processes in a few seconds. Bets are then the food is at least good. Let's see.
Our order taker, CiCi was a college aged young woman with a great personality but not annoying. Engaged with my wife and myself with ease. Never used slang to converse with us. Very mature acting and well mannered. Her parents should be proud of her. She was multitasking with other tables that had more than two people like me and my wife. She managed quite well and gave undivided attention to all! Kudos to her for not going all in on one large group table thinking a tip "might" be bigger. She was extraordinary in her duties. Frankly, I didn't think she viewed this as a job but an opportunity. Smart kid that in her youth has it together. CiCi, you will go far in life with the great attitude and work ethic you have. Finding young people that possess a great work ethic, self responsibility, ownership in what your doing currently, positive attitude even if things are going rough, is not rare but damn close. You will control your destiny with these skills. May you find much success in your work of choice. Wherever it is, always give your best. Even if your coworkers don't. People see this and will take note. All the best indeed!
Ordered our beverages unsweet sweet tea, deep fried cheddar curds for appetizers, two seafood dinner plates, and a tap beer. Desert was the Apple Crisp and New York cheese cake; these dudes were to go and both were spot on when we opened at home. Seafood dinner arrived before appetizers. Come to find out, no fault of our hostess, it was overlooked by the chefs preparing meals. The manager did a no charge for the curds even though we, as customers, weren't upset by the oversight. He didn't' have to do a "no charge" for us but he did. Thank you! Because my wife's birthday was the 15th, her desert was also a no charge. Our hostess CiCi encouraged both of us to sign up for the "Bricktown Brewery App" so we could earn reward points and we did.
The seafood was good. I wouldn't go as far as saying it was great. The cheese curds were fantastic, late arriving or not. The ranch sauce and a spice honey sauce (it has a name but I can't recall what it was called) for dipping curds. The honey spice dipping sauce was really good but for me almost too sweet for the curds. Fried white fish with medium sized shrimp and fries. Fries were close to being like those you'd get at Long Johns Silver. Average at best. Too bad too as fries are typically the first bite of a menu if offered. They weren't spectacular and probably will be left behind on a plate.
The first time we were here my wife and I had burgers and they were delicious. Can't compare that meal to the one we just had. That would be unfair. But, the likelihood of ordering the seafood dinner again is quite low.
Overall it was a great time for my wife and me. Certainly will be returning to try the other items. If CiCi is working that day, we will ask for you! The pizza looked really good as we saw several being taken to customers. Thank you Bricktown Brewery and...
Read moreI have eaten here twice and this is definitely a favorite for me, I will definitely be coming here again and again. The atmosphere is nice and inviting, the big booth seats can easily seat 6 people and are very comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful, Melissa was our server on our last visit and she took excellent care of us. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the lady who served us on our first visit, as I was too busy taking in my surroundings and enjoying the experience. The bar is located right in the middle, which is perfect, in my opinion, and they have our favorite beer on tap The kitchen is in the back but it's open so you can see everyone moving around as the food is being prepared. They never stop, they are like worker bees. Our first visit was for supper, we had to wait about 30 minutes, but it was so worth the wait! Our second visit was lunch, we arrived just a bit before 11 so as to 'beat the crowd' and waited for the doors to open. This is NOT a fast food restaurant, the cooks come in at 8 and start preparing food. Everything is fresh, not frozen. From the chicken fried steak, shrimp and cod to the fried okra, it's all battered in house. The dip trio is amazing. Fresh Guacamole, fresh salsa and fresh queso served with pita style chips (which, if you have some left over, 10 seconds in the air fryer) and I could make a meal out of just this. My favorite, even though I really enjoyed the coleslaw, is the mashed potatoes. Real potatoes just like my grandma used to make and I still make at home. The strawberry lemonade is so good, too. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would, 5 just isn't enough! The only bad thing I have to say is that I can't get my pictures to upload, sorry, but definitely check out other...
Read moreHaving been to other locations, I came in with high expectations and desires. Considering the location has been open for a total of three days, they absolutely crushed it.
Let's start with food: I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich with Salt and Pepper Honey.
I did not expect this monster to come out with TWO! breast filets. The sandwich was so big I personally had to deconstruct it to enjoy it. I paired it up with some sweet potato fries with sea salt and spicy caramel sauce. Absolutely delightful, the flavors all paired very well together.
My wife got the French dip and was extremely satisfied with it. Our dinner partners also got the chicken sandwich, with one getting the slaw. She was delighted by the flavors in the slaw.
Drinks: started with a sample of the Bluesberry brew by Bricktown. While ok, it wasn't quite a beer I thought would pair well with my dinner plans. Ended up pairing dinner up with some Millie McFadden's Red Rye Ale and it paired very well with dinner.
Ended the night with the Blueberry Moscow Mule and it was an absolute delight flavorwise.
While all of those things were pleasant and meet our standards, I want to take a moment to point out the excellent service we received. Our waiter, a former Marine, was good for jokes galore and many a laugh were shared between our party with him. We'll definitely be asking for...
