Normally not one to complain, but today was the worst experience I've ever had there. Went in hoping for a quick bite to eat before work, and was very disappointed to say the least. The cashier was friendly and did alright in taking our order, other than a slight confusion about what we wanted, but that was cleared up easily. The rest of the experience was awful. Took them 40 minutes to get our small order out to us, and we watched as they took our order off the screen and completely skipped past it, putting out 12 orders past ours before we finally got it.
I stood at the counter for over 10 minutes before anyone asked me if I needed help. The manager on duty finally asked if I was doing okay, and I told him that I was still waiting on my order. Then he turned around without saying anything and looked back at his screen, and continued what he was doing without ever coming back to let me know what was going on. I stayed standing there for another 20 minutes with everyone still ignoring me, making me late for work.
Finally someone came and gave me my food, no apology or anything. When I looked in the bag they had still messed up. Only half my order was in the bag. The person who handed it to me didn't seem one bit concerned. I asked for the other half of my order and he went and got it, only for me to open it later and realize it was cold and dried out. Read moreArrived 3 or 4 minutes before 11pm, their closing time. There were three vehicles there when I arrived. Two in one line, one in the other. My brother and I waited for 10 minutes or so before calling them, they answered and just said they were closed then hung up on my brother. I spoke with one of the people in line in front of me and they said that they had been waiting 5 min before me and that the front car in the other row had been waiting even longer. I then called them myself and asked to speak with who was in charge. The girl said that she couldn't tell me that...then I asked if she was in charge and she said yes. I complained that people had been waiting since before 11 and she said no they were, because the buzzer didn't go off. I then informed her that she was a liar and asked how I could file a complaint. She put me on hold for 2 min then came back and gave me a number to call. This was a fake number and not in service...had to drive all the way to Webb to get service. Read moreI used the app to order. Had trouble using the app (because of me). The order went through at 1053-pm. They close at 1100-pm. So I'm on a bicycle, looking pretty hungry and crazy, knocking on the window of the drive-through at 1058.
Management was kind to me even though in the restaurant industry this late of an order is abusive, and a crime committed by the most selfish of people, who are oblivious to the human beings around them. He was not even hostile, despite the order not being registered in their system, and me not being able to use the app or the drive-through properly.
They could have told me to kick rocks but instead, the crew and manager cooked and filled my order, including an iced coffee, and had me back on my way home a few minutes later.
Everyone should be made aware of the Monday night crew at Mcdonald's on 11th and Rangeline in Joplin Missouri. They are the best crew operating in the united states, possibly the world, and all deserve bonuses, raises,...
