I previously owned a fast food restaurant such as McDonald's. Therefore, take my critique as you will. Had the misfortune of dining at this franchise. I ordered a Double Quarter Pounder Deluxe , large fries, and a large Coke Icee. A tattle tale sign of poor food prep referencing french fries. Is when fries have NOT a LIGHT golden color. But instead, a DARK and DULL brown appearance! If the fries are NOT tuff in texture, meaning OVER cooked towards being burned? But, instead, they have a normal firm and soft texture, with a dark brown appearance? This is a dead giveaway to a trained eye of fries being cooked in DIRTY OIL ! Another indicator that will confirm this ideology will be the leftover residual oily film left in your mouth upon eating. This is what I received at this establishment. When I confronted the on duty Mgr. I was amazed, which is a good thing. When she did NOT try to lie to me, she honestly admitted that their filtering/ oil cleaner machine, which should be used to clean or change out oil for the frier every two days. Was broken and had not been repaired for an extended period of time. Upon asking her WHY she was still serving this poor quality product? She had no response to give ! Afterward, I confronted the hamburger I had ordered. This burger had an extreme amount of lettuce, mayonnaise, and tomatoes placed upon it, which not only made the burger very sloppy to manage eating? But literally transformed the buger into a soggy falling apart disaster. My opinion.. this establishment has EXTREMELY poor OWNERSHIP and MANAGEMENT and a less than satisfactory ongoing training program. The owner appears to not take an active interest in this business if there is an interest? It would be obvious that their bad reviews are NOT going to be resolved with a rotating door of new hire employees such as the big help wanted sign outside. We placed a mobile order through the McDonald’s app and received confirmation via both email and the app, clearly showing the location we were at. When we arrived, the staff insisted our order wasn’t placed there. I confirmed the address matched perfectly. Instead of helping, they called a manager who accused us of trying to get free food. I even pulled up my bank account to show the $28 charge had already gone through. They told me to cancel the order, but the app said it was already in progress and couldn’t be canceled. Eventually, another manager told us they wouldn’t make our food, wouldn’t refund our money, and that we could “talk to the general manager at 6am.” Seriously? This location took our money, refused service, called us liars, and offered no resolution. Luckily, I have screenshots, confirmation emails, and bank records. I am also registered with our local Area Chamber of Commerce and will be reporting this incident directly to the franchise owner after speaking with the general manager.
