We went for brunch yesterday. Our first experience ever here...but definitely not the last!! My husband and I were lucky to have Kyle as our waiter and we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were promptly greeted by the Manager when we first entered. I think he could tell by our list stares that we were new. He promptly escorted us to the table of our choosing and let us know the specials and a bit of history about the owners and food. He introduced us to our waiter Kyle. We tried several things on the menu so we could take home things to our kids at home as well. Plus it’s just more fun to sample things. The breakfast pizza was outstanding!!! Never would I have thought to make something so tasty!! We had the Kale BLT salad- hands down my favorite salad in my life!! I had the chicken asparagus pasta and my husband had the beef Bolonese pasta....both were definitely homemade and to die for!! The bread they bring to the table and vinegrette mixture is perfection! My husband had a local beer in a frosted mug and I had a soft drink. Water was also brought to the table, chilled without ice. As we picked at our meals and boxed things up to take home, we decided to order their Nutella donuts. Our server had already planned on bringing us an order to celebrate our special day...on the house!!! Plus he put a flaming candle in it and took our photo for our special day!!! How cool is that?!?! From phenomenal service to impeccable food and ambiance, our visit could not have been more perfect!! We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch and will most certainly return with our kids. Very laid back vibe with great music , kind of an Indy vibe. Go, the food is authentic, fresh and homemade with an artisan flare. They are doing it right. Ask for Kyle, he will make your visit...
Read moreWe’ve been regulars at Lenora’s in Jupiter for a while now and, being in the industry ourselves, we’ve always appreciated the vibe, the food, and the hospitality—even when arriving later in the evening. Unfortunately, our visit last night was a major letdown.
We arrived in time for food (as confirmed by the bartender), but from the start, things felt off. She immediately let us know she was out of all Cabernets—no big deal, it happens—but her tone made us feel more like a burden than guests. There was a large group at the bar, which we understand can be a lot to manage, but the way we were treated felt unnecessarily cold. During last call, she even threatened to get the manager over what seemed like a non-issue, despite the fact that she clearly wasn’t going anywhere yet.
When the food arrived, the chicken parm had the wrong sauce on it and the salmon salad was overcooked and just messy. To make matters worse, the kitchen staff seemed to be giving us less-than-friendly looks, which only added to the uncomfortable vibe. On top of that, the beer we ordered was rushed out before we finished the first, then just sat on the bar getting warm.
We’ve genuinely enjoyed Lenora’s in the past, but this experience left a bad taste—both literally and figuratively. Hoping it was just an off night, but it was disappointing to feel so unwelcome at a place we’ve...
Read moreI would highly recommend you drive a few more minutes north to the Alton location. I recently went to the Clematis location for a somewhat late dinner with my boyfriend and had a comical yet horrible experience. It started when I ordered a glass of wine and was told “oh I think we’re out of that one so you can have this one” without telling me what it was, or giving me the opportunity to taste it before pouring a full glass. The wine I was served was stale and gross so I ordered a glass of Prosecco, which was also stale but still had some bubbles. About half way through the glass the bartender found another almost-empty bottle and poured it into my glass, well that bottle was so stale that I was left with a glass of flat prosecco that I couldn’t enjoy. My boyfriend’s beer was warm because they were also “out” of cold glasses. Top it off with the staff making comments about how quickly they wanted to leave after the restaurant closed and how they need to stop seating people at the bar and having an intoxicated bartender from the brunch shift come and sit right next to me and lean almost all the way into my plate. I’ve never had such an experience at the Alton location. Alyssa is always our bartender there and she...
