Today, I made a deal with my daughter, and as part of it, I owed her a cupcake. While we usually go to Small Cakes for their delicious variety of flavors, I thought trying the cupcake vending machine at Nina’s might be a fun change for her. Unfortunately, the experience was a letdown.
My daughter enjoyed using the vending machine, but it was frustrating to see that most flavors weren’t available. As someone who likes to see the cupcakes before buying, I went inside the store, hoping for a better selection, but was disappointed again. Like the vending machine, the in-store options were limited. Despite this, I decided to purchase a half dozen mini cupcakes for the kids.
At the same time I walked in, three young adults entered behind me and kindly said, “You go first while we decide.” I began placing my order, but when I went to pay, the man behind the counter was unexpectedly rude. He made a comment about me being in a rush, which took me by surprise because I wasn’t. Concerned that I had unintentionally given the wrong impression, I apologized and asked if I seemed rushed. His response was, “No, you cut those people, so you must have been in a rush,” while giving me an aggressive stare. I explained, “Oh, they said I could go ahead while they were deciding,” but he insisted that I had cut in line and must have been rushed. He raised an eyebrow and tilted his head in a manner that felt intimidating. His hostile attitude and unfriendly behavior left me with a bad taste in my mouth—not just about the cupcakes, but the entire bakery.
I was shocked and horrified by the poor customer service. With much better options like Small Cakes in town, I don’t see why anyone would choose Nina’s with their limited, plain flavors and mediocre icing. While I know losing my business might not matter to them, I hope others read this review and think twice about where they spend their money when it comes to satisfying sweet cravings. Whether it’s for holidays, gifts, birthday parties, or just treating yourself, this is not a place I would recommend. I’d much rather support a business that truly values its customers. Take a moment and read the snippy responses from the owner or her husband. This will give you great insight into the type of people who run...
Read moreI am sad to give this bakery a 1 star. I am going to give you this review based on my experience in a respected manner. Around August I emailed a request for a cake for my wife since her birthday is in November . I have no experience with cakes but based on Nina's instagram I saw that the baker was pretty talented and I saw a that she was able to carve a cake. The person who answer was Levi and he asked if I had a design, flavors, etc. I couldn't answer back because my dog had a heavy surgery on his teeth at that time. So the almost the whole month of September I didn't have it in mind to respond because of the fact of taking care of a dog that came out of a very traumatic surgery I couldn't. Around early Oct I emailed back and responded how I wanted it, at first I requested an ice cream cake but I learn they don't do those cakes and I was given a list and he explained to me kindly what they do. So I saw they seemed to do really good options so I emailed back and requested what I wanted based of what they can do. I sent them pictures of my dogs since my wife wanted a cake with her dogs in it and a DSLR shaped cake since she is a photographer. I didn't get a response back so I called. I told him who I was and he said he was gladly to help and that they had availability for NOV 23th, I was going to get a call from the baker and invoice on how much will it cost. A month goes by and I never got the call, I call the week before her birthday and I asked about the cake. Levi tells me "What cake? What cake are you talking about?" from that point I knew that cake wasn't going to happen. His excuse was because the date was around the holidays they couldn't be able to do it, sorry. I told him that's fine. Thanks anyway. I felt deceived and really upset knowing the fact that I emailed and contacted the staff a month before the date, tell me that it was available and then I get this. It's just sad that a talented bakery gets to treat a customer like this even though I was willing to pay top dollar for it. This is why I...
Read moreI am very disappointed and actual at aw from a conversation I just had with the owner. I have been here in the past , but today I called and the owner answered the phone. I inquired about vegan cupcakes and she said that right now they are only doing 2 specific flavors and not the one I am looking for. So I asked if she could recommend where I can find them . VERY RUDELY, she replied and said I own a bakery I don’t go out and buy other people’s cupcakes . This was a very rude response and very unprofessional. In my opinion, if you do not want to recommend another bakery all you have to say “I apologize I cannot help” First of all , I am a business owner my self and would never talk to a Customer like this. Secondly, I know a lot of the local Jupiter mom’s support her business , as I am one of them but because of this I will Not EVER be supporting this local Business again.
Response- to clarify I wanted to order Lemon vegan cupcakes with no frosting and it was 1/2 dozen that I wanted. I know it was short notice and I am Not upset about you unable to fulfill my request as I know it was last minute. I was upset from your answer when I asked if you could recommend where I can find them . Your answer “ I OWN a bakery, I do not go out and buy other people cupcakes “ this is that part I felt that was unprofessional. I do not want to go back and forth with you. I just wanted to let others know of my experience. Please acknowledge that was your response. This is the main issue here. Not that you cannot fulfill my last minute order. Thank you have...
