A Welcome Culinary Gem in Kamas – Route 32 Bistro Nails It
Kamas is a small town with a big appetite for a great local restaurant, and Route 32 Bistro has finally delivered. While we often make the trek into Park City for world-class dining, it’s such a relief to now have a truly exceptional option a little closer to home.
This location has seen its share of turnover over the years, and while we always aim to support local businesses, we don’t return unless the food and service are both excellent. I’m happy to say this new owner nailed it.
The food was outstanding. Nancy had the Poblano Chicken Sandwich, and we both agreed it was exceptional—perfectly balanced flavors, fresh ingredients, and a welcome kick. I had the Picanha Steak with Chimichurri, and it was just as impressive—tender, cooked to perfection, and generously topped with freshly made chimichurri.
Service was second to none. The owner personally and discreetly checked in with each table, ensuring that everything met his clearly high standards. It’s a thoughtful touch that didn’t go unnoticed.
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to stay local for dinner, this is it. Route 32 Bistro is exactly what Kamas has needed—a place worth coming back to...
Read moreFood was phenomal, and fairly priced. We ordered the Bistro Burger, Cobb Salad, & onion rings! All delicious and fresh! Our service on the other hand was so disappointing. Kacy, our server, didn’t even come over for the first 20min. When we ordered drinks & food together, she never brought our drink… someone else ended up bringing us water. We watched as the table next to us asked for silverware AFTER their food came out and she just never brought it to them. They ended up going inside to grab it themselves. We asked for ketchup but never received it so we did the same thing and went in to grab it ourselves. She was just all over the place but never checking or bringing anything needed. She finally brought out my drink after I asked several times and when we were nearly finished eating. It sucks because the food was so great but service really makes or breaks it! We overheard her apologizing to all her tables so maybe it was just an off day but it truly was one of the worst services we’ve...
Read moreStaff was overwhelmed when we came in, as someone who currently works in a restaurant I understand this. However, the dinning room had no other tables in it and only a few were outside, the wait wasn’t immense but just long enough to bump it down to four stars otherwise the service was good the busser was quite nice clearing our plates basically as soon as we were done, I ordered the classic cheeseburger with sweet fries and it was delicious, the sweet fries were really good as well the only reason I give it 4/5 is because it wasn’t a uniquely great meal but above average for sure the only real meal grevience I have is that I was still hungry after this however I am a really big eater and my meals usually are around 950-1200 calories so it’s not something I can hold against them my large appetite is not their fault , the atmosphere was relaxed and felt like many of the diners I’ve stopped and ate at it nailed...
