Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Kannapolis

I have been coming here consistently for a year, and it's honestly been too long for me not to write a review. This location hasn't once failed to get my order 100% accurate and it's always hot and fresh. Full disclosure, I live a very short distance from the store, and exclusively get carryout as I pickup pizza to and from work. Additionally, I am not picky and usually order items as they come from the menu, or basic 1 topping pizzas (to get the $7.99 specials). I say this because if you order delivery or get other menu items your mileage may vary. I almost exclusively get Pizza and Papadias (though not always) and both are always extremely good. Many of the staff working the register know me by name and are always extremely welcoming. I also find that topping portions are hearty on my pizzas. Now, whether this has to do with me being a regular or not I don't know lol. Either way, I'm always satisfied with this location and over the literal dozens of times I've been here I have never received anything wrong (unless I simply clicked the wrong button in the app). The pizza made was the pizza ordered every single time and the quality is top notch. I highly recommend this location, and don't doubt that any issues would be taken care of by the management and staff if you reached out to them directly should one occur....

I have enjoyed pizza from Papa John's for many years now. Sadly, I can no longer support this business. At least not this location. The service has steadily declined over the last few years to the point it is hit or miss whether I will get what I ordered. We used to get delivery but, besides the increasing cost of this service, we were getting cold pizza left on our porch with no idea it was outside. So, since my kids were now driving, I started sending them to pick up our order. All good until recently. After getting the text saying our order was ready, my oldest goes in to the store only to be told we haven't ordered anything. I had to forward him the email showing I had ordered and paid for two pizza's and wings before they would make our order. Then tonight I send the middle child to pick up our order. No problem, he comes home with two pizzas, no wings. I called the store and when I ask who I'm speaking with all I get is "Manager". When I ask where our wings are he puts me on hold without saying anything. Comes back and tells me they gave the wings to my son. Eventually he calls back and tells me he will refund the wings. The attitude and lack of customer service is very disappointing and though I like their food, we will find pizza somewhere that cares about...

My cheese sticks were okay.. however the brownie that I ordered was almost crushed by the time I got here. Poor making. The brownie was so crusted over that it was literally impossible to pick a piece up as a whole, and the top of the brownie was just full of brownie crumbs when it should have been in one piece. The tray was bent which means somewhere down the line it was crushed during transportation however the guy that delivered was really nice. I couldn't even pick these things up without half of the brownies sticking to the bottom of the tray so they were probably undercooked. You can see the areas where I tried to pick up a brownie from different parts and couldn't even get the whole thing out in one piece. I've ordered from here before and never had a problem but I probably won't be ordering for a while. People don't realize you can order from any place so when somebody chooses your establishment you should pay attention to detail and look at each item before it's taken out...
