Amigo Taqueria — Restaurant in Kannapolis

Absolute waste of money and time. I bit into a Cubano sandwich that may have been the worst I have ever attempted to eat. It had a hotdog in it! A hotdog! This consists of any and all thrown together in a bun. Absolutely disgusting. Huge pieces of what I think is mozzarella cheese or maybe dumplings who knows. Not sure if these super large green pieces are peppers or pickles. Absolutely NOT a Cuban sandwich and y'all should be ashamed of selling these out of that restaurant. Stick to your food. Not Cuban food because it would not be ok for someone else to try this sandwich and get turned off without knowing this is nothing - absolutely nothing- like a real Cuban sandwich. Did you all just forget the mustard? The entire point is the mustard.

Do not order this sandwich. Please remove this sandwich from your menu. This is shameful to all Cubans worldwide. PS: check with a customer before you serve them a hotdog in any shape or form. This sandwich should NOT have a hotdog. I do not eat hotdogs. Not good. Will never eat here...

We were visiting the area and we found this gem!!! Woao this is a great Mexican restaurant, love their flavors. The staff is super friendly and attentive, you order your food and then wait and they bring it to the table and despite not having waiters, they are super attentive and are checking in on you often. The food was done quickly and with great flavors. We tried the quesabirria and birria tacos and they were great! I honestly preferred the Birria tacos. I saw other dishes from other people who were there and they look amazing!!! It's a small restaurant so tables are limited but worth it. While we were there we noticed a lot of to-go orders and constant clients. This has become a must for me next time I'm in the area!! My experience has been anytime there's a smaller Mexican restaurant it's probably pretty good. This is no exception! As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a warm, genuine smile from the staff. They are very friendly. It has a quaint, authentic feel. My son prides himself as a Mexican cuisine foodie of sorts. He had 3 tacos - shrimp, al pastor, and carne asada. He said they were definitely in the top three with the shrimp being the best he's had. Pretty impressive! I had the chicken enchiladas. Finally, I found a place that seasons the chicken in this dish. While the Salsa Verde wasn't the spiciest I've had, the overall dish was very flavorful. The beans were actually re-fried and not a puree mess. The chips were fresh and the avocado salsa had the perfect spice. This was an overall successful trip to this local spot in Kannapolis.
