Veterans Park — Attraction in Kannapolis

Veterans Park is a small memorial park located on the corner of First and Main Streets in downtown Kannapolis. Some of the reviews are confusing this park with Vietnam Memorial Park located a couple miles away on Orphanage Road, across from the orphanage. There are no ducks, frisbee golf or playground. There is a brick lined walk with named bricks, fountain, sundial clock and monument . Great place is sit down and read a book or reflect but no place for activities. Those can be enjoyed at Village Park or Vietnam Memorial Park.

I recently visited a very nice park to celebrate Juneteenth, and it was an excellent experience. The park was spacious enough to accommodate several vendors and a large number of people comfortably. The atmosphere was vibrant and festive, making it a perfect location for such an important celebration. This is a nice memorial area between downtown Kannapolis' main street and some research buildings. If you're local, think Cannon baseball with Atrium and Amtrak.
