My son and I ordered from the Corner Crust 2 times prior to going Saturday night. Each time before the food and service was great and well prepared. The pizza reminded me of the cheese pies I use to get in Brooklyn back in the 1980’s. However, on last nights arrival (1/28/23 around 9:30pm-9:45pm), I was handed a pizza with 2 big blank spaces. It appeared a bubbles may have arose during preparation. Usually I wouldn’t bother but these were very obvious to me and whoever prepared the pizza. When I got to my car I looked at the pizza and was very dissatisfied. I kindly asked the cashier and pizza maker if they could make me another pizza. I did this because I had just paid and tipped as well. The pizza maker takes the pizza to the back and places sauce in the empty spaces and tosses cheese over the missing area. They returned it to me with smiles and laughs as if they were mocking me. Their tone and sarcasm was not welcoming at all. I looked at the pizza again prior to leaving and realized they didn’t replace the pizza. I left feeling as if I wasn’t import enough for them to remake my pizza and my money wasn’t welcome as if they didn’t care to maintain or loose me as a customer. I asked for them to please refund me or prepare another pizza for me. They gave a refund and took back the pizza. I told them I would prefer a new pizza , but they insisted the oven was now off. With this said, I am a single father and work nearly 6 days a week. Having a cheese pizza with my son was supposed to be father and son bonding time, however, my 14 year old asked many questions about why they did that to our pizza. My night ended with me discussing “Micro-Aggressions” (statement, action, or incident regarded as an instance of indirect, subtle, or unintentional discrimination against members of a marginalized group such as a racial or ethnic minority). We ended discussing the worth/value of black men in society to my son.
I ask that the Corner Crust management please ensure better customer service to...
Read moreENORMOUS PIZZA Also sell by the slice from the enormous pizza. Met some friends before Kannapolis Cannonballer’s game early July 23’ We ordered 4 slices and four drinks the total was $44. I asked for ice for my drink they didn’t have it they only have can and bottle drinks which is perfect. The slices arrived in there own medium sized pizza boxes. Standard condiments available for pizza included grated Parmesan cheese, red pepper flake, garlic powder salt. Upon opening the box this gorgeous cheesy pepperoni pizza with perfect crust stared back it was irresistible at the beginning it was so hot it was hard to touch. I piled on the Parmesan cheese to absorb some of the oils produced from the intense heat of the pizza oven & I thought no way I could eat this whole slice but once I started it was so delicious it went down with ease. I then began eying my son’s slice as he slowed down toward the end…thankfully I was able to score a couple more great bites of that CRUST!! One of the best parts was that we were able to dine outside, hear the pregame activities at the stadium and walk to the game!!! Thanks for the great pizza and awesome spot to enjoy it...
Read moreSpent 60 dollars at The Corner Crust in Downtown Kannapolis this evening as we have many other times. Female employee up front by the register places paper plates under our 12 year old daughter’s pizza box. Not on top of the pizza box but under it, attempts to hand the box to her and the pizza slides off of the plates onto the floor. The employee and restaurant refused to replace her food. A child’s food! 2 Kannapolis police officers who witnessed it replaced her food. With their own! Other customers witnessed it also! Not a good look! You never treat any customer this way particularly regular paying customers and especially a child! Kudos to the 2 Kannapolis officers as they saw our daughter crying and replaced that for her👏🏼👏🏼 We have plenty of money to replace our food. However, That’s not the point of it! Food is tossed in pounds into dumpsters behind these restaurants daily. But you cannot replace a child’s food nor even offer an apology for your employee not making sure that she got her food securely with the plates on top? We will not be eating there again Not very...
