In May 2022, I visited Fittiās Espresso for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by their business model. I was happy to learn that Fittiās is a veteran-owned coffee shop that aims to provide a casual coffeehouse experience for its customers. Initially, the shop was experiencing issues with the internet, but I returned later once it was fixed. To make it up to me for the inconvenience, the owner, Jeff, kindly offered to pay for my coffee. The staff also gave me a punch card for my coffee purchases.
In addition to traditional coffeehouse offerings, Fittiās Espresso provides a range of services, including baked goods like cookies, muffins, scones, and brownies, as well as Hawaiian-style shaved ice and bags of ground coffee. They even sell apparel, such as hats and t-shirts. The coffee served at Fittiās is called "Caffe D'arte," imported from Italy. Business cards are available, displaying the names of the employees, along with the phone number and address for Fittiās Espresso. The shop also offers mugs and travel cups featuring the Fittiās Espresso logo. For customers wanting to grab their coffee or breakfast on the go, there is a convenient drive-through window. Overall, Fittiās Espresso has a traditional coffee shop theme, complete with coffee-related collectibles.
The menu includes a wide variety of coffee drinks and flavors, breakfast sandwiches and burritos, a selection of pastries and treats, and various flavors of Hawaiian shaved ice. During my first visit, I ordered an iced Breve Mocha with Caramel Pecan syrup, which was quite good. On my next visit that same year, I tried Fittiās breakfast burrito, made with a flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, and homemade sausage gravy. My older brother has visited Fittiās a few times and ordered a Spiced Chai Tea Latte. He had me taste it, and I noticed a hint of cinnamon. So, I decided to try the Vanilla Chai Tea Latte, which was also delicious. Overall, I was impressed by the service and food at Fittiās Espresso.
For anyone moving to the Platte Woods - Zona Rosa area of Kansas City and looking for a coffee shop, I highly recommend visiting Fittiās Espresso. Given that they serve cold and iced treats during the summer, I also suggest that those interested in iced beverages try their Hawaiian shaved ice and cold coffee drinks. The owners and staff at Fittiās Espresso are kind and caring, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the customer experience. I encourage Fittiās Espresso to continue their excellent service and consider expanding their menu with new foods...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was recommended to this place by a friend's 16 y/o niece. This was her go-to spot, and she swore by it, so, of course, I had to try it. I must say, I was not disappointed. The drinks here are first-rate!
An additional bonus to frequenting this establishment is supporting a veteran owned business. This small, local coffeehouse has reminders everywhere for the support of our military.
I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that they do events sometimes like pop-up yoga, and they even have a food truck that caters to events. It's such a unique idea to cater coffee and such to a wedding or other event. I love how brilliant they are.
The drink that I tried while here was a Fitti Freeze with Butterscotch flavoring. A dollop of whip cream was added on top to make it just perfect. It was just the right amount of sweet and on a hot day, I just needed this. My boyfriend had an iced carmel macchiato that I had a sip of, which was just divine!
The atmosphere here is so laid back as well that it's a cool place to kick back and enjoy your drink. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I told my boyfriend that we are definitely coming back. I'm craving another drink...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisiting family over the holiday weekend and wanted to try a local spot. Fittiās didnāt disappoint. Super cute inside with the Americana decor and idea to the military, past/present/future. Amazingly friendly workers and answered any burning questions we had. We ordered the sausage sandwich and the breakfast burrito. Both were cooked fresh on the spot and both were delicious. You could tell the sausage was a quality meat just from the taste. And the addition of the gravy to the burrito raised it to another level! Simple and limited food offerings but created with a purpose, to be damn good! Oh and all their pastry offerings are made fresh daily as well! Lemon Blueberry Scone was moist and delicious. Their cake pops put Starbucks to shame! As for coffee we go an iced decaf espresso, iced Breve with Caramel Pecan and an Iced caramel latte. Coffee was good and got rave reviews from everyone. Highly recommend this place and will be back when weāre back in town! Go support your small...
