Excellent meal at Flame Grill & Mediterranean Bakery. It’s only been open four days at the time of our visit, Thursday May 22nd. This is very similar to their other restaurant, Queen Sweets, but they have a few additional entree items here. I was the first person to order one of the new items, beef Kafta clay pot. It was several beef Kafta kebab pieces (Kafta is like Lebanese meatballs) served in a bowl of thick, rich, beefy and tomatoey gravy like broth. It comes with a side of rice or pita….i didn’t pick, so they brought rice. I really enjoyed a spoonful of the rice with that broth and a piece of Kafta. Family had wraps, mixed mashawi plate (great choice for variety and big appetites, chicken shawarma plate and their very good lentil soup. Appetizer was hummus topped with beef shawarma. No pics this time because holding an active baby and eating is challenging enough. Most of the menu items can be seen looking at google maps reviews of Queen Sweets. They have a mixed dessert box with their housemade baklava and other treats. I was pleased with the service, however everything is made to order and this does take some time. Atmosphere is actually very appealing and the seating was comfortable except one issue….the larger tables have two person couches that have been repurposed into table seating. These were very awkward to actually sit on and eat at a table. Even with a provided pillow at our backs it was not ideal. I suspect the seating came with the restaurant that they took over and I believe this place was once a Hookah lounge….the seating would be quite comfortable for that. Perhaps as the restaurant becomes established the seating will probably change as it did for their other...
Read moreWhen searching for the best Greek salad near Leavenworth, Flame Grill and Mediterranean Bakery popped up on the Google search results and I'm glad it did!
We stopped in for lunch today and everything was great, from the cozy interior to the very friendly staff - to the delicious food. It was our first time so we tried a few things: the hummus appetizer with warm, fresh pita, Greek salad with grilled chicken, butter chicken in a clay pot with rice, and an icey blended cherry limeade.
The salad was so interesting with green olives, crunchy almonds, and a feta I've never had before, almost had a sweet flavor? The chicken was perfectly grilled, and the butter chicken is definitely on our list to get again.
Lastly, we took a sampler of baklava to go, there's quite a few options to choose from and all look amazing. Can't wait to come back and try the falafel, fattoush, and grilled salmon entree.

Read moreDid a quick search near me for Gyros and this place popped up very close. The owner said they have been open only a couple weeks. Bottom Line: Best Mediterranean food I have had in the northland, and I will be back. There was another "Mediterranean" place here before, but the owners say they were not affiliated with the previous owners. Went with a friend and ordered the a Turkish coffee, Humus Appetizer and Beef Gyros with some baklava for dessert. The gyros was one of the best I have had in the city for sure, the Tzatziki tased nice and fresh and flavorful. The fries were seasons a bit with season salt and were good. The hummus was a bit less flavored than I am used to, but still quite good with fresh warm pita. The baklava was excellent as well and my friend took some to go. The frontage is not awesome, but don't let that fool you, inside is nice and very warm and welcoming with pleasant and helpful owners....
