I have been to this particular one a few times not often, this last time I remembered why we dislike this particular one. Service was terrible - I guess my skin tone was b owner then they preferred; we noticed that the Caucasians patrons where being more attentive to rather then the second generation Latino family. The food was ... was ... let's say it literally left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered shrimp cocktail, the shrimp had the hard frozen taste to it, horrible quality, you would have thought first Friday of lent season they would have prepared. The waitress asked how everything was, she didn't notice the shrimp cocktail was still full and off to the side, when she brought a to go container I informed no we would not be taking it home, I explained to her my thoughts and she took it away and stated she would remove from the bill. When I went to pay the older middle age gentleman near the bar, he charged me for the cocktail that was already removed from the ticket, no problem, as I paid I informed him of the shrimp and that was the reason it was removed, he then threw yes threw my change at me, yes no lie he threw it so hard to the podium that the coin change fell to the ground and the bills were scattered on top of the podium. My husband and daughter had already left to go to Tropicana down the street because even my daughter did not care for her food as well. I don't m8nd paying for food I don't eat, everyone needs to make their money, and God has blessed us, but for an owner or manager to treat cx like so, very sad. We normally go to the one in Olathe but just found out that they just had to close it. Very sad. The one on 7th Street and sw Blvd is good service and food just very loud. I hope you have a better experience. Update this review was for the one on...
Read moreI ordered ceviche with tostadas on the side but apparently since I didn’t order tostadas with ceviche on top it is somehow a different meal…so I ended up having to pay more than my coworker. When I explained this to the waitress she laughed at us & said “omg do I have to explain it to you like you’re children?” in Spanish. I understood it was two different meals but I don’t understand why they don’t explain that to you before you order it especially if you’re not familiar with the menu???🤷🏽♂️ Also, the manager didn’t do anything about it and acted like if he took off the $6-7 difference it would put him out of business, a true cheapskate at heart. He also admitted this has happened before to him at a restaurant and I was confused as to why he couldn’t be compassionate enough & understand why I didn’t want to pay that price. Cleary doesn’t care about customers coming back. What a shame, especially since we love to support local latino businesses. My coworkers and I won’t be bringing our business here any more will just go to El torito next to them, way better customer service. Plus the food is subpar. You can get some better Mexican food anywhere else in the area for...
Read moreI took my daughter-in-law to eat there. We were seated right away with a menu. We were not given chips till after we ordered our drinks, which took a few minutes for the server to come back. She ordered lemonade. I asked about how much cinnamon was in the horchaca. The server offered to let me try it first. Both drinks were perfectly delicious. We both ordered the chicken Chimichanga meals. However, I got mine with mole and she got hers with white cheese. The food was amazing. I wanted to ask if I Could take a pint on the mole with me. I have never tested mole that delicious ever. I love the fact that they did not ask to many times if I needed anything. I think they asked 2 maybe 3 times. Because we went at lunch time, our meals averaged about $15 with the drink. I totally recommend the price is just right, you get lots of food, the service really friendly and please try the mole (it...
