Texas Tom's — Restaurant in Kansas City

If u want food made why people that hate their job and will spit on your food then go ahead and eat here. I was gonna eat here today. My food got spit on. I’m not about to eat anybody spit. If you guys choose to eat here you’re risking your food getting spat on by the childish employees there go to the other locations. This restaurant at one point was great I’m not kidding you they spit on my food in my sandwich!!!!!!!! And when I called her out on it, she would not say a word to me. She just looked down, and I had to talk to another employee because she wouldn’t look at me.!!! why you would wanna eat somewhere where people are spitting in the food is up to you!!!!!!! I’m gonna try to get them reported they have cameras I want to make sure those employees get caught for what they did. Hopefully they do. Hopefully, the cameras are working like they say they are. And no, she actually got caught spitting my food. I walked inside I caught her spitting on my food their immature kids working in the kitchen and an adult that are not happy working in the front! Had to wait 35 minutes for my chicken which was okay because it was going to be fresh So fresh out the dirty grease (u could smell it as soon as i opens my food) came the worst tasteless un flavorful dry chicken onion rings and fries it was so sad and gross Booooooooo those sad flavorless hot peppers were disgusting as well Advice: remove all of the mentioned items from your menu Clean your grease twice a day invest in lemon pepper and mild sauce seasons salt garlic powder and a lil slap yo mama spice Fire all of your current employees and hire some that know how to cook or pay them more so perhaps they will care about customer satisfaction Close down for a bit until y’all get it right I’m overall taken back with disgust and I hope me and my wife don’t get sick from the few bites that we took cause if we do I will happily report the health department your way P.S. there was 2 items with flavor my biscuit and my soda I hope my cup wasn’t reused cause the standard of this establishment is so very very low P.S.S if u would be so kind to give me my money back that would be great...

I have always enjoyed the tasty Italian steaks from Texas Tom's but they are not as big as I once remembered growing up as a kid. I'd say they are 20% smaller and pricier than they used to be and have always enjoyed their fried mushrooms.

I just could not give them a 5-star rating due to the size and price of their Italian steaks and other meal baskets that are offered on their menu.

I remember when Texas Tom's had several locations but are now reduced to a couple locations which are now privately owned and operated. The buildings that they are in are old and out-dated. Although they appear to be clean, you can tell where they have cut corners and barely meet minimum standards for cleanliness. I can't say that they violate health code rules but I wouldn't eat off their table tops unless I knew that there would be no bacteria found if a swab test was found to be spotless.

With that being said, I do recommend ordering your food there and I this place always brings back memories...
