Nextdoor to the Mediterranean Market, a couple blocks from Cupini's. (We almost went in the wrong door, lol). Nice they're all near eachother so we can grab dinner or a sandwich, some spices, and have a soothing coffee or sweet treat all in the same spot.
Owned by newlyweds, newcomer from London & a KC native. Cozy spot that fits right into KC. Husband (sorry! I forgot to get a name) took our order. He's bright & friendly, a cyclist, easy going, and endearingly... a bit nervous (makes sense for the 3rd week of being open)
Heard it's been busy, but we went during a lull - nice! Sunny, colorful and warm - good cozy place to take a break.
Ordered blueberry knockout (regular h GF), pumpkin coffeecake, and coconut cake. GF had good flavor, lil chewy (but GF things usually are). Regular knockout packed the flavor. Cakes were shockingly fluffy and moist (both?! I mean..how??) Coconut flavor could go a little richer, but was so beautiful & delicious we were too busy munching to keep talking.

The location is really easy to get to. There’s good signage, and I parked in the gated lot right behind/beside the building.

I ordered a lavender latte with almond milk, and a chocolate croissant. The lavender latte was perfect. Both were 10/10. Pricing is also very fair. I spoke with the owner for a few minutes and learned that she does most of the baking for the products they sell, which is always a perk.
Definitely check out Two Sugars! You will see (and taste) that there is a lot of love and passion behind...
Read moreSo... We travel a good deal and everywhere we go we try different coffee shops - preferably privately owned. Today we went to Two Sugars. I had Werthers Caramel Latte. It was delicious. My cousin has a simple Americano. The coffee was outstanding. The two sisters who run the place are a delight and clearly care about serving the very best coffee drinks you will find in KC. The place is charming and has a wonderful patio to sit and enjoy one of their signature beverages, a fabulous coffee, and/or a scrumptious treat. When we come to KC again or pass through on another road trip, Two Sugars Coffee will be included in our itinerary.
If you love coffee (especially great coffee) like I do, this place is absolutely not to be...
