University of Kansas — Attraction in Kansas City

Most of my experiences with The University of Kansas Health System have been very good. All of my specialists are here. Neurology, hematology, neuroimmunology, and endocrinology. There are some amazing senior and advising physicians that look over newer doctors learning how to perform best in their field of speciality.

They have done a fantastic job with scheduling COVID-19 PCR tests in December when my family went through the Omicron wave that is happening. All of my family was tested and has results promptly within 24-48 hours. They take extra precautions for those that have been exposed.

This is a great place to go to get healthcare and it doubles to help new nurses and other physicians get a jump in their career by using your body to learn from. All decisions are always consulted by a final senior physician so your health team never comes to the wrong decision when it comes to your health. I feel like that donation in and of itself is amazing.

Despite all of that, they are learning and so I do advise patience be given to all learning students and mentored physicians. I know the medical field feels burned out, and I have unfortunately had some bad interactions with some people here. I applaud them for their steadfast work.

It was the most HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE experience of going to the ER EVER!!!!!!! I will never ever go back again and i wouldn"t recommend that no one go there AT ALL!!! PERIOD!!! I waited 6 hours and still didnt get seen. I complained about it and stil didnt get seen by the doctor. The nurses were VERY VERY RUDE about me asking about my wait as if i shouldn't had been upset about me sitting for so long. Everyone who was there before me had went to the back and was seen by the doctor and gone but i was STILL sitting waiting for my turn, Sooo i just got fed up and left. I have been coming to this hospital for a better part of 4 decades off and on for a myriad of different reasons. This hospital has saved my life on multiple occasions the hospital is very clean everyone who is employed by this hospital from the janitorial services all the way to doctors and nurses who are genuine in the care that they give to all who enter, I have also given birth here and it was a while ago and the hospital back then wasn't as big but the care still was, it has won multiple awards and they are current, and ever expanding to service as many as possible.
