Today was my first time checking out the bubbas 33 near my house I been hearing a big hype about. Where to even begin not the greatest experience let me tell you that . First off me and my girlfriend tried ordering margaritas off the drink menu and from the start the server says "by the way we make everything in house food and drinks "so we order 2 frozen margaritas. About 15 minutes later she comes she comes back and says by the way our frozen machine is broken and in my head I am think this is a new place that just opened and ur machine already broken for a second i thought I was At "McDonalds "when they tell u there ice cream machine broken lol. I am just like never mind don't worry about the drinks she likes is there anything else I can get for ya so we order the crooked cheese sticks I believe from the appetizers I keep an open mind we wait about another 15 min or so. Manager comes by to apologize about them not being able to make the frozen drinks ask is everything Is ok and I tell her yeah it's fine just waiting on our appetizers and she leaves . Serves comes back and then informs us by the way we can't make ur appetizers after saying they everything is made in house and I am just kinda over this place by now like u just made me wait to inform me u don't have appetizers or the drinks when she could have honestly started off by letting us know what they weren't serving from the start to not waste our times waiting around for items they dint have. At this point we are just hungry so I am kinda like whatever at this point we order pizza and a burger which it was all pretty mediocre. I did notice a table that sat right after us same server they order same appetizers we order and for some reason they got there appetizer after she clearly told us they dint have any I was just like wow I am over this place first u tell me they don't have it but clearly the table that sat right after us was able to order same thing. Most likely will not be coming back to this place after this experience and all I got was a free coupon for an appetizer definitely will not be back just for them to say they don't have that item. I don't know if they just dint wanna serve us or what the reasoning was behind the service but it definitely left me with a foul taste in my mouth about returning I get it ur new could have been different if there would have been better communication or resolving the issues after the second mess up....
Read moreAfter witnessing the construction of the new local restaurant, "Bubba's 33," I was eager to try it out. On July 3, 2024, around 2:45 PM, I visited Bubba's 33 for the first time. The hosts greeted me politely and seated me. I perused the menu, made my selections, and waited for a server. I was pleased with the restaurant's cleanliness and atmosphere. As I dine out only once a week, this was a special treat for me. Shortly after I was seated, a family of four arrived and was seated a few tables in front of me.
After waiting for several minutes (longer than expected) without being attended to, a waitress walked past my table and said she would be with me shortly. She then proceeded to the family's table and began taking their order, placing napkins, and getting their drink order. My initial excitement for trying Bubba's immediately dissipated, as I couldn't understand why she served them first when I had arrived earlier than them. I felt this was unfair and was quite disappointed.
While the staff and customers appeared diverse, I sensed a form of intentional or unintentional bias or preferential treatment towards the family, who were white/Hispanic, while I am a Black male. Feeling undervalued and unappreciated by Bubba's 33, I left and expressed my dissatisfaction to the front desk upon my exit. The waitress apologized, claiming she thought the family had arrived before me, but I was clearly the first customer seated in that section.
Disappointed by the poor customer service, I decided to leave Bubba's 33 and took my once-a-week restaurant experience to an establishment that made me feel valued and appreciated, serving customers in the order in which we arrived.
I had been looking forward to trying the food at Bubba's 33, but this negative experience left much to be desired. Restaurants should have a clear process to ensure customers are served in the order of their arrival, and all staff should be properly trained on...
Read moreI truly like this place, they need more locations so I can get it more often. We've been 3 times now when we are near the area and another purposefully just for dinner there. Tried different things each time and been happy every one of them.
Our most recent visit was packed because of college football and a Saturday night but still got the food in a quite reasonable amount of time and it was hot which is what truly matters to me.
We did receive a check in from one of the managers but my brain was broken and I don't think we were our usual selves to the nice young lady. Still dwelling on myself for that one.
But yes. I've personally had a quite good Cheeseburger, a Very good fish and an excellent Monte Cristo there. We always get the Garlic Knots for the table and depending in others with us the Onion Rings or Pickle Chips. The Knots and Rings I'll attest too, the pickles are ny wife's friends.
The pizza was really good the 1 time I've had it but I shouldn't have shared because her toppings kind ruined one of my slices and I had no leftovers later, alas never again.
The atmosphere is fun with the music video channel playing next to the sports, while I don't love all the music that plays it cycles frequently so it isn't long enough to really be irksome. Place is clean. Never been on the barside strangely now that I think of it.
If there were a complaint it'd be minor. It is difficult to get to the bathroom without getting in the employees way. They are very nice about it, but I just don't like that aspect.
Really wish it weren't 40 minutes from me, I'd be there 2-3...
