(3.75☆'s) So I've been looking 4 breakfast tacos for a min n this is like the 5th place I've been to.
This is my 1st time to the place and I have to admit it's a bit old (and I've been to a few places yrs ago). I wasn't sure I made the right decision but I was here, hungry and starving. So I before I ordered I asked the waitress if the Horchata was made in house and she said yes. So I picked one up. When she got back in asked if the tortillas were made in house and she said yes. I've been to other places that use store bought cheap tortillas and it just messes up the tacos. So I picked up a bean, chorizo & egg, papa & egg and a machacado & egg. The Beans were not the usual pinto n they looked like canned but I remembered that these were the old original beans they had long ago. The taste was greater than expected for how they made them; literally made me forget the pintos. The Machacado was crisp in some areas and not dry throughout like most. This had tomatoes and onions cooked with it, it kinda threw me off and I thought it was wasted but it turned out good. The tomatoes gave a lil more moisture to it, not that it needed it surprisingly! The chorizo was great as well more chorizo flavor and I guess all chorizo has sugar added or something cus this had a lil sweetness to it as well. I'm use to not having that. But the good news is that unlike some others that are drowning in that red oil this had a few drops come out! And finial was the papa & egg. The papa's were huge chunks and the egg was great and not dry. All tacos were not loaded with grease like a few places, Eggs were light and had moisture to them.
My bill came out to $17.44 for the 4 tacos & 2 orchatas. Which is a bit high and I didn't get a breakdown of the bill when I paid. But for what I got, I'll come back for Sunday's Breakfast Tacos just I'll make sure...

After living in Katy for over 12 years and always driving past Jalisco Los Altos, we finally decided to give it a try—and wow, we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the cool A/C was a refreshing escape from the Texas heat, and the experience only got better from there.
The breakfast menu had a great variety of options, and we were immediately impressed with the freshly made tortillas—both corn and flour, which is such a rare and welcome combo! They brought out chips and both green and red salsa, and the salsa was served warm (a telltale sign of great food coming your way).
The food came out fresh, warm, and so delicious. I ordered the barbacoa plate, which came with three tacos and charro beans. They let me do a mix of corn and flour tortillas (love that flexibility!), and the barbacoa itself was absolutely perfect—not overly greasy, not fatty, just flavorful and tender. Honestly, probably the BEST barbacoa I've ever had.
My husband got the machacado plate, which he’s super picky about. He hates when it's overloaded with onions, but this plate was spot-on balanced. He cleaned his plate and even saved a bit for leftovers—which says a lot. And for just $10, it was an amazing value for the portion size.
Bonus points: they even had a dish called “The Ashley” which I thought was so fun since it’s my name—what are the odds?! 😄
We wish we had taken pictures of our food before digging in, but trust—it looked and tasted phenomenal.
Everything from the warm hospitality to the flavorful food exceeded our expectations. We’re so happy we finally stopped by and will definitely be returning—our new...
Read moreAwful, food was not fresh!!! Service was awkward and very fast food prep time. It was out in a minute. Not to mention the owner or manager sat at the register and watched us eat like we were test animals (awkward). Added avocado$ to tacos, it was slimy green brown and not freshly cut. We both took one bite of the same taco and spit it out. Was disgusted at the taste of the margarita😫😵 it was like drinking frosty water with rancid lime. How any of these other reviews think this is authentic good food you're out of your mind. I went to the register to pay the man noticed we didn't eat much, asks if I ate a pepper or something to spicy. I'm sure he noticed us eating and saw we didn't eat more than two bites and made a face. I replied "No, no pepper and I am OK with spicy. To be honest I think the avocado or something is way off and tasted spoiled." He did not really comply back and rang me up for full meal. I tipped 20% accordingly then he let me walk out. I am not the typical person to leave reviews I worked in the restaurant industry for many years, I'm pretty easy-going on restaurants and service. Service got a 6.5, Food 1.5 on a scale to 10. Save your money, someone who is not interested to try to make something right isn't worth spending time...
