KT Antiques — Local services in Katy

Store is clean and they have very nice displays, but lots of the items are overpriced, and many of those items are not true antiques.. staff was not helpful, or kind. I stood at the register for a good while, waiting to be rung up, and no one would come. The staff was sitting across from the register, and would not get up. It was my first time here and I noticed that there was more to see so I just walked off and shopped some more. I didn’t want to assume anything…once I had finally finished, I caught someone standing at the register and they were very rude. The size of the store is deceiving from the outside. It is huge! The variety of offerings was amazing and the prices were mostly reasonable. Sadly for us, one of the items that caught our eye (a beautiful, colorful rug with pink and turquoise colors) in a children's section was not for sale. It was for display only. We would have bought it in a heartbeat depending...

I’ve been to this store several times when passing through.. we love antiquing and visit stores all over the country…The store employees always follow customers around the store..I’ve noticed this every time I’ve been in… Maybe this is a bad area or they are just a high theft town, I don’t know.. I find it off putting. Especially since they have surveillance cameras...
