This was my first time visiting this location. I’ve been getting delivery from the Clay road location and have been absolutely in love with the taste and freshness of the food despite it being delivery. So when I was in near this location, I didn’t even think twice about stopping by for lunch. Well, I wish I would of kept driving to the one located on Clay road. The Mar y Tierra plate with beef fajita and bacon wrapped shrimp was dry and tasteless. Like if it had been sitting under the heating lamp all day then served. The parrillada was the same the ribs had no flavor and the meat was tough and dry. It’s like they took it from the heat lamp and put it on the parrilla. The sausage on the parrillada was burnt. Even the desert was bad, the sopapillas were tough and chewy. Even the ones that were delivered to my home in a plastic container tasted fresher then the ones we were served. Service was great! Oh I almost forgot to mention that the guacamole made at our table was the freshest food we ate.

Went here for family gathering at request of kids. Not sure if it had been a long Sunday shift or something, but the service and food was not what we remember from Los Cucos. Has it changed ownership in the past few years? It used to be excellent, but perhaps COVID affected things. Our server was a little surly but her lady assistants were very helpful and pleasant. Food had enough flavour but we all agreed things were a little dry, including the flautas. No sour cream, guac or caramelised onions to lubricate. Beef ‘fajita’ seemed just like any chopped beef for tacos. I know this sounds picky but with so much competition in this sector we were disappointed. The kids were happy with the queso and their kiddie meals but they were served last. However the family being together was lovely, even if we didn’t feel welcome to sit and chat at the end. We kinda got broomed out of a 20% full restaurant. Really not the spirit of hospitality and I doubt we’d choose this chain again to meet when visiting.

We're truckers and we've tried Mexican food all over the country.. this has to be one of the very best. First of all we were blown away by the amount of food we received. At first we thought the price was kinda high for what we ordered.. until we saw the bag and it's contents. We ordered carne asada enchiladas and a Chile rellano with a chicken taco. One of the meals apparently came with tortilla soup and tortillas which was very good. The tortillas are clearly made in house.. absolutely delicious. The Chile rellano is a little different from what you'd normally expect.. the pepper is stuffed with meat and cheese and topped with enchilada sauce rather than breaded. It was really good but personally I prefer the standard way of making it. We received a large bag of presumably home made chips, salsa, and guac. Plus rice and beans. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Stay away from this location, it is a health hazard. If you have any type of asthma or allergies, this place will do you in (see attached photos). My godson shows up and sits down, about 5 chips in hes having issues breathing (has light asthma). We look around and see rain damage to the foam ceiling tiles along with what looks lile mold and dust everywhere. Outside of the structure being mismanaged, the food was horrible. Hands down the absolute worst mexican food I've had since moving to texas in 2008. Not only was the food bad but the service was horrific. I show up with a party of 12 and things progress naturally. Chips drinks food orders as ususal. Food takes close to 35 minutes to come out and half of everything ordered was wrong and all of the food was cold. For my little niece, kids menu hamburger no cheese no onion/tomato... shows up cheeseburger with everything on it. My simple order of large quesadilla with rice and refried beans was extremely bland and the cheese was cold and congealed. The rice was just ok but the beans themselves were cold and flavorless. So i notice our party is being neglected service after waiting 25 minutes for a soda refill. I look around and they have our 1 waiter who was handling us, running 3 other large groups. Spread him so thin he couldn't help but neglect everyone. I bring my concerns to the manager that the entire experience was horrible, especially for a birthday dinner where the birthday grandpa is a repeat customer who the manager recognized. The manager then asks me what's fair for him to do, then brings me out a bill for 1 enchilada plate (11/12 bucks) 1 small side order of rice, 1 small side order of refried beans and somehow that magically totaled 21 dollars. Instead of arguing the logic in math in front of family and friends i paid and left. Worst managed, worst tasting, worst health hazard mexican eatery. Save your time and money and eat...

Today on 7/21/16 I had the worst experience at this restaurant! I have had good and bad experiences here but, today is by far the worst! It started off usual being greeted and seated. Then I order my food a los cucos (which generally is two chicken tacos refried beans and rice with guacamole and pico de gallo.) but when my order came it was chicken fajitas. Which I didn't order! I told the manager right away this is NOT what I order. He then tells me that it is what the waiter order and it is basically the same thing. I said no I come here once a week ( have been eating here for 20+years!) I know what I'm supposed to get when I order it. The manager tells me that that's what she ordered and I can't change it! Looking at him puzzled i knew he was full of it! A manager CAN change the item especially since I didn't order it in the first place! But he continued to put the food on the table. After eating very little of what I didn't order and waiting 20mins for my waiter who NEVER showed up to even see if my meal was correct or if I needed anything! I go to the front and ask for my check. They tell me that the waiter will bring me my check. So I wait 5 more minutes and finally she comes back to the table with the check. Never asked how was the food or if I needed anything. Then I see the check and it's way over priced! So I go back to the manager to discuss it but again he is very unhelpful and not even willing to listen to me! So at this point I'm upset and can't believe they would treat a regular such as myself like this! I payed for the meal but that is the last one I'm paying for there! Also just for everyone's information this location was flooded on 4/18/16 when down town Katy was flooded! U can still see the water level on the walls and in certain spot where small mold is forming! So becareful...

Decided to dine in here on Wednesday afternoon around 5pm, our waiter was not attentive what so ever and it may be because me and my spouse are young so as the stereotypical thing to do is judge someone off that and assume we will not tip but that’s far from it. If I receive bad service with only 2 face to face conversations with our waiter which was to take our order and deliver our food to our table with no other words in between and dirty looks the whole time, no refills, and no “how is yalls food” I will not be tipping, especially since I know our waiter assumed because of how young we look we will not tip.. well? I’m going to live up To the standard of our waiter especially since we didn’t receive good service. Me and my spouse paid cash and put the rest on card just so we could get rid of the cash. Our bill was $65.97 and we had $45 in cash. The check comes around, we hand him the cash as well as the card and when he brought the receipt back which said $20.97 was put on the card,I signed. I check my bank account and i was charged more than what the receipt said which means he stole the cash he wanted as a tip and charged the rest on card. On top of that, we were still sipping our margaritas after we paid and were about to leave in the next 5-10 min he decided he was sick of waiting for us and grabbed his copy of the receipt in such a rude way.. aren’t you suppose to grab anything remaining after y’all’s customers leave? This experience was AWFUL. I come here all the time with my dad and receive great service and the few times I come here alone I get treated so poorly. Do better, and get better employees/servers who actually want to make someone’s experience good. Good service will get you good tips. Your employees steal, and treat people poorly Off of how much they think you will...
