PHO K — Restaurant in Katy

I don't know where to begin. For starters the table was extremely sticky and unpleasant, then they bring you a half empty cup of bad tasting water before just leaving you be for 10 minutes or so. When they finally decided to come around and ask if we wanted anything we had been sitting for over 20 minutes. Ordered appetizers and our food at the same time being how we've already spent too long there as it is, took another 20 to bring 4 spring rolls and the child's pho. Broth had so much oil at the top that my child didn't really want it. Another 15 minutes went by and we got our pho finally, the meat tasted fairly old and had a weird smell. Couldn't address it to anyone because after they dropped the food at our table we were never checked up on again. Such poor poor service had me ready to just walk out then and there. Was not satisfied AT ALL, food didn't taste good, service was super poor, I'm sure there's other places in the area much better than this one. We came as a group of 8 for dinner with high hopes for a new local pho spot. The menu had tons of variety which was very promising. Unfortunately, the entire experience was disappointing. The pho was nothing special- even a little on the sweet side for pho broth. The cooked food (egg rolls, salad rolls, bbq pork) was just satisfactory. The service was the worst part- after waiting patiently for almost 25 minutes for my food to arrive after everyone else, I had to prompt the staff to see if my order was still coming. Turns out the order “was never placed” by the server and would be just a few more minutes. The group had finished their meal before my food was brought out almost an hour from when it was ordered.
