Tastea Katy (Now Open!) — Restaurant in Katy

Was so excited when I saw their sign went up! Went for the first time at this location and everyone is super nice! Definitely interesting takes on some original drinks and love how their tapioca is green. Tried matcha thai milk tea for the first time… and I have to say it works! Very creamy overall but wished I could taste the matcha. The Thai tea overpowered the drink but overall still good! My husband got the strawberry banana smoothie. He said it was still a bit sweet after we did 50% sugar but taste good. Also got the chicken which was a little dry but not oily. Would’ve liked more chicken pieces rather fried batter. They don’t crisp the basil like other places. Love all the sauce options.

Went in and the decor is so cute! It had a very cozy lofi vibe to it, perf for studying or hangouts. Got 4 tiger milk teas; three with boba and one without. Overall was good, maybe sweeter than we’d thought but it was still tasty. Only concern was the mulch at the bottom of our cups. I don’t know if that is normal as in like it’s a different style or form of boba tea, but I get boba quite a bit and was not familiar with that happening. This is the first time it happened if anything. The mulch was in both the one with boba and the one without. I thought maybe it didn’t mix well or it’s just jelly but not really… I don’t know, my apologies if that was to be expected. Also got the chicken, it was good. Wasn’t expecting the size but it did the job of being fulfilling (if you’re someone with a small-mid sized stomach). If not, there’s a larger size! Friendly service! Thank you...

If my wife did not enjoy the tea here; I would not come back to this place. I went here Friday evening on 10/10/25 and we were the only customer on the line and had 1 other customer already order and waiting at the table.. They had 4 workers there at the time and not one person even acknowledge us to take our order. After waiting about 10 minutes; we had to walk over to an ordering machine near the bathroom to put in the order for ourselves. The workers they hired are probably high schoolers that did not care whether they serve customers or not. This is bad business for a recently new Boba tea place to have these types of workers and not trained them how to handle customers. I have seen these boba tea places in the area close down already for this type of treatments. I gave 2 stars for the good drinks they have or else it would be 0 stars for...
