Panera Bread — Restaurant in Kearney

My 74 year old mother bought lunch for her office. A week later she was going through her banking and realize that she had been charged $87 instead of the $36 she thought she paid. She went to the store to speak with a manager. The assistant she spoke to was very friendly and was trying to get to the bottom of the problem. The general manager came out and told my mother that she had tipped $51 on a $36 lunch. She told my mother there was nothing she would do for her. My mother then told her that she needed to make it right. The General Manager kick my 74 year old mother out of the store. My mother is a long time business owner here in Kearney. This is no way to treat people. I don’t know what happened but I know my mother would not tip $51!! Will make sure that many people in our community hear...

We are in Kearney from out of state for a family emergency and have spent 10 days in a hotel. Panera was close and a familiar place to eat. Our experience was not good! On our first trip everything we ordered turned out to be depleted though no one knew that until a server told us as we sat for an eternity waiting for our order. Our second visit was better though we waited in line for 15 minutes with only 2 people in front of us. Trip #3 was unbelievable. We drive up on a Sunday and before we got out of the car a employed told us that they close at 7 on Sunday. No where on the website can you find that this site or any other Panera closes at 7:00. In a town with few dining options this was a surprise and a shock...! As long as we are here for the family we will...

We don't live near Panera Bread so whenever we are in town we love to stop by. It was 8:30pm and we were ready to head on the 2 1/2 hour trip home. We thought we would grab a coffee, tea, scones and other goodies to bring home. Between my Mom and I, we spent around $42 and were really excited to have a treat on the way home. They were all hard!! And we paid full price for stale food!!! My coffee wasn't even hot and the hot water my Mom used to make a cup of tea wasn't either. I ended up throwing my coffee out. Probably will have to throw all the food out also. What a waste of money!!! I don't know if I will ever go back. They have worked there long enough, they should know what things get hard and not good to eat...
